Attorney for Plaintiff Notices Flood Permitting In order for Town residents to be able to purchase flood insurance the Town agreed many years ago to meet the minimum National Flood Insurance guidelines. Therefore all flooding damages needs to be reviewed for a zoning permit before being repaired or replaced if you are in
the Flood Hazard Overlay District. This includes properties which are above 102 foot base flood elevation unless you have obtained a Letter of Map Amendment from FEMA. All inquiries should be directed to Rebecca Bushey, the Town Zoning Administrator. She can be reached at (802) 527-1672, or satzoning@comcast. net or at the Town Hall at 579 Lake Road. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The office is closed to the public on Wednesdays. The Selectboard has waived all permit fees for flood related permits and has taken other steps to speed the process. The only fee that will be required is a $10.00 recording fee to record the permit in the land records. The Zoning office is extremely busy but we will try to respond to everyone as soon as possible.
