Jobs That Let you Travel Everyone has this deep desire to travel the world and see new and exotic places, else why would we have so many people trying to live it all on their TVs? Many people just plan on doing all of their traveling as soon as they have left the job market and made their millions. Many of us will never make it or by time we do, we will be too old and rickety to have any real fun. If traveling is your goal, why not make it a part of your work and stop just planning on it. Here are some jobs that can get you out of the country.

Writing You could do almost any writing you want with your laptop in hand and the right ideas. Whether you are a copywriter, a novel writer, or a song writer, you don’t have to be confined to an office. In fact, many writers find their inspiration while traveling the world. This can be a very flexible job but it also takes dedication and diligence if you intend on making ends meet.

Consultants As a consultant you may have a lot of opportunities to travel the globe. It is possible to be a consultant in a number of different arenas. Whether it is business, agriculture, or just consulting politicians, you will not only work in a number of different settings, but you will be able to work with new people a lot as well.

Professors Many times we think of professors being stuck behind a cloud of academia or huddled behind a load of books in their offices, but there are actually a lot of travel opportunities for professors depending on their fields of study. They may be able to lead a study abroad and teach students how to apply their skills and help them build overseas networks. They might be instrumental in developing international research or even building relationships with other universities. Another traveling opportunity that is often presented to professors is a Sabbatical. They are paid through a grant or by the university itself.

Journalist Traveling can become a way of life if you are a journalist or reporter. This may also require you to enter conflict zones which can be very risky. Other journalists stay in hotels in Mystic Connecticut or New York. Others go on fantastic adventures in order to tell real stories about people. This job can be very rewarding and you can travel the world depending on what kind of reporting you want to do.

Don’t limit yourself by thinking that you are stuck in one place because of your work. Make your work take you where you want to go. It is really all about what you feel is important. If you want to have flexible hours and see the world then pack your bags and start down the path that will get you there. It may take some extra time but it will be well worth it when you look back and see all of your friends tied up in their dead-end jobs. Photo credit: pixabay, wikipedia
