Writer, composer and dancer Rita El Jebari was born Morocco, although she has spent most of her life living in Barcelona. Working with an array of local bands, she started singing at the age of fourteen. Her career as a musician has since evolved both in style and sound as well as recognition. She has performed across many countries around the world such as Spain, France, Italy, Morocco, Tunisia, Thailand and India. Her style is a hybrid sound of pop, r&b and trip-hop with an Arabic edge. Her inspirations include M.I.A., Patrick Watson, Billy Holiday, Sail, Ellie Goulding, Bill Withers, Stromae, Sia, Al Green. Currently, she is working on her new album which is expected to be released at the start of 2016.
