WHERE TO NEXT IN THE WEEK 7 LECTURE THE IMPOR TANCE OF REVIEWING AND CRITIQUING OUR DESIGN WAS STRESSED. THE ABILITY TO A N A LY S E A N D E VA L U AT E S O L U T I O N S A N D GOALS WAS PARAMOUNT TO PROGRESSING OUR DESIGN. WE WANTED TO KEEP OUR INFLATE DESIGN, HOWEVER, THE PROFILE AND SECTION WASN’T WORKING OR CONTRIBUTING MUCH TO THE DESIGN. MAKING PROCESS
WE DEVELOPED THE INFLATE SYSTEM TO BE MORE REFINED AND REFLECTIVE OF OUR SURFACE DEVELOPMENT WE NEEDED TO MERGE THE SYSTEMS BETTER TO CREATE ONE SYSTEM WORKING HARMONIOUSLY RATHER THAN TWO SYSTEMS WORKING INDEPENDENTLY WE WANTED TO CREATE A PIECE THAT WOULD HOUSE AND HIDE THE INFLATE SYSTEM AND CREATE AN ELEMENT OF SURPRISE. WE WANTED TO CREATE A SIMILAR EFFECT AS TO THAT FOUND IN THOMAS HETHEWRICK’S (2011) BRIDGE DESIGN, WHERE YOU THINK YOU MIGHT KNOW WHAT IT’S GOING TO DO, UNTIL THE LAST FEW MOMENTS WHEN IT DOES SOMETHING DIFFERENT
