Concept
Magnified within the image lies imperfect cracks spread throughout the desert floor, glistening blue skies, and the sun beaming down to create a mustard dried landscape. A light fixture, just as imperfect, honors the modesty and comfort of the interior. The open space leaves room for a fixture to mold into place flawlessly.

Construction Through this process I learned the intricate details of blowing hot glass. The possiblity of creating a “one and done“ masterpeice is highly unlikely however, this particular fixture is designed to be imperfectly unique. The most difficult aspect of this was sculpting the original bowl shape to be wide enough (6”). The textured outside was made from adding bits onto the inital bowl.
