Hamari Adhuri Kahani is a film where three fine actors all play idiots, says Raja Sen. idya Balan cries a lot throughout Hamari Adhuri Kahani.Her character, Vasudha, is a timid and relatively mousy woman, one who has let herself be cowed down by patriarchy even when no patriarch is present in her life, and she frequently flies into panicked hysterics. Mohit Suri has been an efficient director of plot-heavy cinema (with plots often filched from other places), This time, working from a script written by Mahesh Bhatt, his focus appears to be notstory but, simply, sadness. Hashmi’s character keeps going off to literally smell the flowers, Rao’s character is a possessive neanderthal, and Vidya’s character is plain dumb for one thing, she needs to know that yelling “Hari! Hari!” as she runs behind a police jeep will only make the cops drive faster.

What we have here is Suri’s monstrosity. ari (Rajkumar Rao), an old, limping man, has vanished with his dead wife’s ashes. He has left, in their place, a novel he has apparently written on the fly instead of a letter of explanation, and it is this that his long-neglected son reads and sobs over. It is anovel, that, peculiarly enough, is not told from the narrator’s point of view and contains too little about himself, preferring instead to dwell on voyeuristic imaginings ofwhat his wife Vasudha and her lover Aarav must have gotten up to. As for Hari, he may or may not be a terrorist,

depending on what you want to believe about a story where trees double up as get-out-of-jail-free cards. Also, Hari is the worst kind of misogynist, believing he owns Vasudha forever. Vasudha… It is a name that unfailingly reminds me of Jaya Bhaduri in Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s classic Chupk

But even within this conventional setup, there are glimpses of something new and interesting taking place here. Advertisement Both Tanus are formidable (as they say “strong women”) and infinitely human. Tanu Weds Manu Returns doesn’t seek to overthrow patriarchy with its desire for a tidy ending, but it still shows up some of its ugly hues, with one of Tanu’s suitors feeling he’s entitled to try to destroy her for not returning his advances. It takes a swipe at elitism with Tanu mocking Manu’s girlfriend’s social status, only to have her confidently inform Tanu that she helps run her house and has got into college on a scholarship while Tanu has never worked a day in her life and considers it an achievement.

en given the formulaic nature of the third act, with its witty script and superb performances from the principals and supporting cast, Tanu Weds Manu Returns accomplishes something no other major Indian release of 2015 has achieved – it’s terribly entertaining. With few exceptions, this has been a year of pointless, derivative action movies or bloated, self-indulgent offerings from auteurs seeking to make terribly important films. What one has been missing is someone perhaps with smaller ambitions, someone seeking to make just a good film, like this one.

JYOTHI LAXMI - review Story begins with introduction of Sathya (Sathya Deva) as a software engineer instantly falling in love with prostitute Jyothi Lakshmi (Charmi) at a sudden encounter. Sathya roams around brothel houses nearby to footmark Jyothi Lakshmi and finally gets her. While Jyothi Lakshmi notices Sathya as a regular fleshy customer, Sathya attends her daily swiping his credit card without any sexual desire. One fine day, he proposes the love and expresses the devotion to marry her.

From commercial perspective, ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ should open to awesome openings; thanks to wide promotions. Lower classes audience has something to cheer up with Charmi’s stout presence. Though a long run may not be possible, it’s better for families and ladies to stay away.

Behind the Movie Asura: Handsome

hero Nara Rohit is taken for granted to experiment on new shores. After ‘Rowdy Fellow,’ he is here again in police costumes under the direction of debutant Krishna Vijay. Starting from an impressive logo design to creative publicity; ‘Asura’ looks to be an interesting project.So let us get into the actual review part. In the Movie Asura: Story sets off introducing Dharma Teja (Nara Rohit) as a strict and scrupulous Jailer obeying the Law and Order to bring a change in attitudes of criminals serving their punishment in prison. Precisely, Dharma Teja also has a beautiful girlfriend Harika (Priya Benarjee).

Values of the Movie Asura: First and foremost point to mention on top would be pouring of appreciations on Krishna Vijay for thinking about out of the box concepts which Tollywood generally discourages. A story weaved around characterization and attitude of a Jailer facing the challenge from a draconian villain with in his Jail compound sounds definitely arresting. Being a debutant, Krishna Vijay showed a fire in penning the dialogues and posting the real content. However, a slowpoke screenplay with blunt treatment left much more to ask for. Story treks on at

a tortoise pace with boredom infused in many parts. Of course, there was no need to add any comic quotient in this sort of a serious subject and Krishna Vijay has done a right thing by remaining sincere towards his basic line. Scenes look as if extra pulled beyond the elastic limit. Unnecessary buildup or so called heroism enhancing scenes are also unneeded.

Out of the Movie Asura: All in all, ‘Asura’ is quite a serious cinema made based on a novel concept. It’s the execution lapses in crucial pivots done the big damage. For movies in this new genre, a straight line graph is suicidal. There would be have some sharp peaks placed in story narration to rise the excitement factor. Although a lowkey thrill factor is made a part of hiding screenplay, this wasn’t enough for a full length cinema. Climax is yet again a mark of inspirational wisdom in fresh talents of our newly arriving directors. Except a new storyline, thought provoking writing from Krishna Vijay well laced with fine-spun performances from Rohit, Ravi Varma and gripping musical score from Sai Kartheek, the movie fell short in offering a wholesome entertainment.

Behind the Movie Lion: Having

postponed its release twice, NBK's Lion has hit the screens today (14-05-2015) through out the world. After the plenitude success of his previous flick Legend, Bala Krishna have opted debut director Sathya Deva's story that is expected to surpass the expectations of fans and continue his triumph of Legend. The promotional trailers in which NBK has delivered powerful dialogues have recieved ample response and made fans believe that this movie would be a staunch landmark in NBK's career. Let us see in detail if NBK's Lion has the potentiality to be such sort of the film in hero's career as expected by his fans. Values of the Movie Lion: The story opens in an mortuary ward where Bose (Nandamuri Bala Krishna) is one among on the several dead bodies. But, he regains his breath and comes out of mortuary by himself. He fails to identify his own parents and believes that his name is Bose and he is a CBI officer, while his parents Chandra Mohan and Jaya Sudha insist that his name is Godse and he is the CEO of Murugan Construction Company owned by Murugan (Kota Srinivasa Rao). He travels with and in Ambali(Ali)'s Taxi in search of his lost life. In this journey he happends

to meet Maha Lakshmi (Trisha) whom he believes that she was his girlfriend and she is an owner of a finance company. But Maha Lakshmi denies his approach and show him an evidence that she is an employee of a Software Company Infosys. Even then Bose doesn't give up and continue travelling in search of his house in Hyderabad and finally finds it. The house he visits is owned by Chalapati Rao, whom Bose believes that he is his father. Trying to make Bose recover from his memory loss and remembers him about his marriage with Sarayu (Radhika Apte) in Mumbai. But, Bose sticks to his old belief and to make him come out of such false belief Maha Lakshmi proposes an idea of having DNA test to confirm the details of Bose alias Godse's birth details. The DNA reports declares that he is Godse and is son of Chandra Mohan and Jaya Sudha. With this DNA did Bose come out of his beliefs or did he travelled with the same confusion to marry Maha Lakshmi and to be a son of Chalapathi Rao is the remaining interesting plot to be seen on screens.

From choosing his debut vehicle `Leader’ under the aegis of Sekhar Kammula, the master of offbeat cinema, to bulking up 40 pounds for the magnum opus `Baahubali’, Rana Daggubati has pushed the envelope constantly. What’s more, he’s done it all so effortlessly and convincingly. Not that his detractors weren’t sniggering behind him for his various link-ups or the roles he essayed in Bollywood, they were! But then, a `Leader’ doesn’t give a damn. Regardless of what people say, Rana knows just one thing. And that one thing gob smacks them all – his overall impact on the audiences. “I guess I picked the right job at the right time” 34

It is one of those sweltering summer days in Chennai when we catch up with Rana in the cool green environs of Amethyst. The hunk is in Chennai to shoot the Tamil remake of the Malayalam smash hit ‘Bangalore Days.’ Judging by the way women stop dead in their tracks as he passes by in breezy linen, Lawrence and Mayo sunglasses and his super cute EGOTIST cap, Rana has earned every bit of the ‘Most Desirable’ tag. Straight off, I ask him what makes him so desirable. “Frankly, I have no idea what makes me so desirable as a man! If you had asked me this question five years ago, I wouldn’t even have known that things would turn out this way. I am an actor. Being in the limelight, you need to look right. And it’s a combination of being fit, being blessed with good looks, being comfortable in the clothes you wear and carrying yourself well. You also need to speak right. So It’s a combination of everything. My makeup artist, my stylist, my publicist and the people who put my look together are the ones who need to be given the credit for making me desirable,” he says, continuing, “You probably noticed the lady who greeted me as we walked in and enquired about what brought me here! She was my colleague in a BPO. I started working straight out of college. I was a visual effects coordinator. I guess I picked the right job at the right time. And as to how I got here, the credit for it goes to a combination of different things.”

“MY STYLE GOES HAND-IN-HAND WITH MY ROLE IN A FILM” How does he balance this ‘Most Desirable’ tag and his unique sense of nonchalant style with the different characters he plays in his films? “My style goes hand-in- hand with my role in a film. In fact, my look, my physique – everything depends on that. ‘Rudramadevi’ and ‘Baahubali’ – the two period, historical flicks required me to sport different looks. ‘Baahubali’ required me to bulk up massively, grow long hair, a beard, the works…I am totally game for whatever the character demands of me. We can’t disagree with that one, especially after we learnt that his shoe size is 13! And while he may not emulate anybody, he certainly has his favourites as far as style is concerned. “I think Hrithik Roshan is very, very stylish among Indian heroes. He is a style icon, a style guru so to speak. I can’t even think of a second name. Among women, Sonam Kapoor, I think, is super chic and makes news when it comes to fashion and trends,” he says. All through college, Rana used to wear a lot of his uncle, Venkatesh’s stuff. He chuckles, Irrespective of whose clothes he wears, it is a fact that wherever he goes and whatever he does, Rana makes news. Recently, his switchover to vegetarianism had PETA sending him a gift hamper with predominantly vegan products. Rana comments, “When I was preparing for ‘Rudramadevi’ and ‘Baahubali’, I had to eat a lot of meat

to bulk up for my look. The film and the script demanded it. Now I am working on the Tamil remake of ‘Bangalore Days’, where I am playing the role which Fahadh Faasil had played in the Malayalam version. I needed to get lean. Despite my workout and rigorous fitness regime, I realised that the weight and muscles I had put on for ‘Baahubali’ were hard to shake off. I always work out five days a week, no matter where I am. But when I tried a vegetarian diet, the weight started dropping significantly. So, I decided to stick to it for a while, until this project ends. I am not strictly bound by anything specific. It all goes with what is required of me at a particular point in time.” In terms of project lineup, Rana is currently working on the Tamil remake of ‘Bangalore Days’ and has recently wrapped up the first part of ‘Baahubali’ which is due for release in July. There is no Bollywood project in the offing yet. However, regardless of how many landmark films he stars in, his role in `Leader’, his debut film, admittedly remains closest to his heart. “I ALWAYS WALK ON TROUBLE!” I cannot help but ask Rana about Trisha, especially at a time when the grapevine is abuzz that the engagement between her and producer and realtor Varun Manian is over. All he says in response is a polite, “I don’t think it’s right to answer these questions or comment on anything related to this.” But what about his much publicised affairs with Bipasha Basu and Ragini Dwivedi,

amongst others? “I used to find these linkups really annoying but then when I realised that all this helps certain newspapers in selling space, I decided to leave it at that. It doesn’t matter what the rest of the world thinks about you as long you and the people around you who matter, know what the reality is,” he responds. Rana is amongst the few actors who does not hesitate to speak his mind and is refreshingly forthright. Often this lands him trouble. “WHEN THINGS HAPPEN WELL FOR YOU, DON’T EVER QUESTION THE LOGIC” Recently, Rana had posted a picture of his from the sets of his current film, in a wedding costume sitting in a mandap, And that evinced crazy amounts of curiosity and reactions even from his fellow actors, not to mention many sections of the media. “That’s a funny one,” he guffaws as he reads out news from a Telugu film portal, “It says that I am gearing up for my secret wedding. That’s how most of my link-up stories are! Most are not true and some are utterly nonsensical, like this one.” Still, I wonder whether the life of someone so handsome can also be so bland. Surely there is a special girl in his life right now? “The fact is that, there is no girl in my life right now. I am not commitment phobic. Definitely not! I want to work for a few more years, get settled and then think about marriage. I am working in three industries now – Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. My priority right now is to do well.” So what’s the first thing he notices about a woman, I ask. “Height. I find tall women appealing. I enjoy talking to women

I believe each one of us has our own personality and when someone tries to portray something that they are not, that’s a big put off.” Why do women love him so much, I wonder. He chuckles with delight, “Don’t ever question such things. When things happen well for you, don’t ever question the logic!” So, if he found the right girl on a date, I ask him if would he consider living in. “It depends on the person. I don’t know who she is. I don’t have one right now. I believe the idea of a perfect relationship is that you should be comfortable with one another. And you should be yourselves. To visualise something that has happened so long ago in the past that you have no scope of ever seeing in real life or experiencing first-hand is a feat in itself. As a kid, Lord Krishna only reminded me of the late NT Rama Rao and Veera Pandiya Kattabomman, of the late Sivaji Ganesan. If the real people came in front of me, I would probably be disappointed because the on screen images are so firmly imprinted on my mind. My roles in both my films are the biggest blessings I can ever get as an actor. And if it’s accepted by the audiences, nothing like it.” Amen to that!

I connect each day with my Ef, my extended family, my followers. I love reading other tweets as well. Some are most informative and of great interest. I find historical, geographical, medicinal, information on my site. I get the instant news of happenings around the world, sports news, local and international and a comment from several enlightened minds. It really is a wonderful platform. For me, I like to respond to the questions that my followers put to me. I am unable to see all of them or respond to all of them, but I try. What’s the coolest slang you have learnt on Twitter ? I have not encountered any. If you have suggestions do let me know I shall look out for them, or perhaps use them too … How did you come about the system of tagging and numbering your tweets, any

particular reason ? Nothing very deliberate. I number my BLOG so I felt I should number my Twitter and FB DAYS. The number is the number of the DAY, not the number of tweets that I have written. A lot of advisors felt I should have a separate title to each DAY. But I felt the DAY numbering was better and I stuck to it from DAY 1 !!

For me it is a joy to be reading all that comes my way – good, bad, indifferent, abusive , all. Yet there are some very smart repartees on the site and they are a joy to come across. Is there anything Abhishek has taught you NOT to do on Twitter ? Any words of wisdom from him ? No …

Why haven’t you yet succumbed to the ‘selfie bug’, when do we see you make a debut on your page ? What is the ‘selfie bug’ ? And why would you want to see me take my own selfie ? There are hundreds of others that are doing that each day for you – it would be most vain on my part to put up my own selfie. Though I do put up my own pictures, taken by others and sent to me, that depict the doings of the day. I have on occasion put up pictures that I may have clicked, but nothing beyond that !!! Are you aware of the Dubsmash craze that has hit the internet, will we see a video from you some day ? Yes I am .. And I find it entertaining and fun. I have not tried it yet. I would find it difficult to decide who’s voice I would lipsync to, for the video. Among the people you follow, is there anyone in particular whose tweets your enjoy reading the most ?

She is the great granddaughter of Akbar Hydari and the grand niece of Muhammad Saleh Akbar Hydari, former Governor of Assam. Her maternal grandfather and grandmother are Raja J Rameshwar Rao, who headed the administration ofWanaparthi state during its day, and Shanta Rameshwar Rao, a much respected educationalist in the city of Hyderabad and is the Chairperson of publishing house Orient Blackswan. She started learning Bharatanatyam at age six and she became a disciple of acclaimed dancer Leela Samson. She did her schooling at Rishi Valley School, near Bangalore. She graduated from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi. Hydari made her acting debut with the 2007 Tamil film Sringaram, in which she enacted the lead character, as a devadasi. The film follows two criminals, Veeru and Jai (played byDharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan), hired by a retired police officer (Sanjeev Kumar) to capture the ruthless dacoit Gabbar Singh (Amjad Khan).Hema Malini and Jaya Bhaduri also star, as Veeru and Jai’s love interests. Sholay is considered a classic and one of the best Indian films. It was ranked first in the British Film Institute’s 2002 poll of “Top 10 Indian Films” of all time. In 2005, the judges of the 50th annual Filmfare Awards named it the Best Film of 50 Years. The film was shot in the rocky terrain of Ramanagara, in the southern state ofKarnataka, over a span of two and a half years. After the Central Board of Film Certification mandated the
