Water is collected along the butterfly roof and into a cistern. This water can then be used to grow food in the community garden.
The south facing portion of the butterfly roof offers an ideal location for the addiction of photovoltaics and solar collectors.
Taking advantage of the local growing seasons, this community garden provides fresh food for the inhabitants.

COMMUNITY GARDEN
Site specific to allow penetration of low blocking the high summer sun.
PHOTOVOLTAICS [OPTION]
Angle of louvers is site specific in order to maximize solar benefit.
ROOF OVERHANG
Allows for the movement of water and air around the paving material.
LOUVERRS
Decidious trees provide shade during the summer and then lose their leaves in the winter; allowing the sunlight to passively heat the building.
PERVIOUS PAVERS
