Water is collected along the butterfly roof and into a cistern. This water can then be used to grow food in the community garden.

The south facing portion of the butterfly roof offers an ideal location for the addiction of photovoltaics and solar collectors.

Taking advantage of the local growing seasons, this community garden provides fresh food for the inhabitants.
