Personal Introduction Before returning to Academy of Art for my master degree, I got my BFA in graphic design also here at AAU. I started my first internship at Oskoui+Oskoui, Inc. designing websites and web-based apps for 20th Century Fox and Disney. After the internship ended, I was hired by ICON Aircraft as their graphic designer to elevate all aspects graphic works. I had an amazing journey working with pilots and designers from BMW Designworks, Honda R&D, and Smart Design on many print, web, and flight training materials. Beginning of 2015, I decided to come back to school because I want to become an UI designer inside the automotive industry. I want a solid fundation and the knowledge of UX to create usable works.

Thesis Abstract If you could afford to live anywhere in the world, where would you want to be? What about wold most beautiful cities like Paris, Venice, Budapest? or.. places that gives you serenity like an island, under the sea, In the jungle, outer space? Imagine an app could convert everything you see, the sound you hear through your windows into anyplace in real-time you dream of.(Unlike replaying a video, every time you look out the window will not be the same.) You would be able to create and control different weather, different sound to help you focus or relax at your will.

Statement of Interest Due to the resources, educations, transportations, family, and parent’s work locations, I’ve been living in big cities most of my lifetime. Instead of seeing cars and busy pedestrians through the window, I always wonder what is it like to live in the wild safari, the forest or just a small beautiful village. I usually walk up more naturally when the sunlight penetrates in. I also gets a much deeper sleep when I could hear the raindrops falling on my windows. For this thesis idea, I want to bring people closer to the environment wheverever they dream to surround by and inspire from.

Work Culture Many Americans follow the same pattern: work hard in high school, go to college, accrue a load of debt and get a job right away to work it off, Arndt said. The United States doesn’t promote taking a year off between major life phases like New Zealand or the United Kingdom.
Skepticism and Ignorance
Cost and Logistics
We buy goods from Sri Lanka and outsource business to India, but when it comes to traveling to these destinations, Americans would rather stick close to home.
The 30.3 million Americans who traveled overseas for vacation in 2009 spent an average of $2,708 each -- including airfare, lodging and other expenditures, according to the Office of Travel and Tourism Industries. It seems that getting there is about half the battle: Average airfare per person was $1,177.
