INTERPRETATION CENTRE

Semester V | 2021

The site is located in the Warangal City Center. Each and Every place you reside, has its own cultural and heritage values. Every individual have a great attachment and concern towards their home town. The design aspires to enhance the urban experience and contribute to the ongoing urban process, thus proving every new design has the potential to transform the urban fabric. Ekatrith a multi-functional public buildings, spaces for the urban setting which shall enable the students to identify, design and speculate common spaces and public expressions. SITE AREA- 8000 Sqm

INTERPRETATION CENTRE

The concept is basically inspired by the historic places of warangal and kakatiya dynasty. Around the city of warangal (orugallu), king ganapathi deva has build seven walls to protect the city. but six of them were destroyed in a war. So, interpreting the seven wall i.e. stone wall, mud wall, brick wall, fence wall, brass wall, water, stone wall the entrance is designed. six columns are placed one after the other interpreting the ruined walls of Orugallu. The water fountain on the stone represents water. The pillars get wider and smaller giving the experience of openness, which is inspired from the warangal gate.

The pathways are defined by the arrangement of the pillars. After shopping in the market square we can grab the food and enjoy in the o.a.t. or other spaces as seating is given at almost every open space. There is a buffer given at the entrance of the site for pick up and drop off points for public transport users. An open space on the terrace is given for artisans to use it for sun drying of the products they make. A seperate service entry is given for the artisans to unload the raw materials and load the final final products.

03 SAUDHAM STUDIO HOUSE

Semester III | 2020

The site is located in the Vijayawada. The aim of the project is to DESIGN a studio house of area 70 sq.m (max.) in a village 30km far from Vijayawada city towards Hyderabad. Some of the essential spaces in the house include Working space/ studio, Bedroom, Kitchenette, Toilet. The design can encourage outdoor way of living, can be light and airy with calming effect on the soul. These houses can be a choice for bachelors, students, retired individuals, employees working from home and all other individuals who likes to interact with environment and introspect.. SITE AREA- 500 Sqm

STUDIO HOUSE

INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR ISOMETRIC VIEWS This studio house is designed for a retired army officer which consists spaces like living area, GYM, bedroom, kitchenette, workplace, and cosy external environment. This is a place to stay and work in line with the needs of a new age Indian with a perception of change.

04 REFURBISH COMMUNITY CENTRE THE DHARAVI PROJECT

ARCHDAIS COMPETITION | 2021 The site is located in the Dharavi, Mumbai.

Slums have existed in every major city in the world since time immemorial and they have been thoroughly documented through all available mediums. Over 800 million people still live in urban slums worldwide and this number is only expected to grow in the future. The aim of the designm is to develop a place making project that will act as a Centre for change and community empowerment, in the heart of Dharavi, that will be wholly and truly owned by the people there. This will be a project that has the potential to become an umbrella institution for initiating change in Dharavi from within. SITE AREA- 8000 Sqm

THE DHARAVI PROJECT

The conception involves learning to visualize past the spatial irregularity, the surface grime Tand therefore the uneven aesthetic to grasp the economic resilience, the social cohesion, the autonomy, the technological ingenuity, the outstanding skills of everyday living that may flourish in informal quarters of cities can be seen within the built form of this space.

COMMERCIAL SPACE DESIGN

GRIHA TROPHY | 2021 The site is located in the Ghaziabad.

With the increasing demand for green buildings, it is vital to understand the right approach towards constructing such structures that would minimize the detrimental impacts of construction on the planet, while creating a healthy and comfortable living/working environment with zero or minimal incremental cost. A GST Building in Ghaziabad (Commercial) is designed for Experion Developers. The design is in accordance with GRIHA v2019 Rating System. SITE AREA- 8959 Sqm

GRIHA TROPHY | NASA

The city of Ghaziabad has a cultural life which portrays a unique mixture of traditional and multicultural styles. Its culture is all about its tradition, including arts, paintings, cuisine, festivals, clothing, ornamentation, religions, tourism, and sports.

The city which once had the view of ancient mausoleums and forts is now watching the growth of a new culture of high-rise buildings, commercial complexes and other contemporary built forms. DANDU SAMSKRUTHI

Voids:

- The complete first floor is semi open where the spaces are placed in the middle of the pathway which make the path divergent and more productive. - Instead of walls, openable fins are used as the wind flows above the stilt level and this the most wind capture area .

Curves the built form:

- These smooth curves cuts more amount of sunlight than the usual rectangular shape. - This kind of helps the winds to circulate efficienctly. - It is visually and ascetically pleasing.

Central Courtyard:

- It helps the hot air to go up and cool air to circulate inside the built form and which creates the optimum temperature to the people. - Gives a sky view which makes the opaque built form kind of semi open. - It also acts as a big natural light well through which we get ample amount of lighting.

Different scenario Workspaces.:

- As working in the same space is always boring, different spaces are provided to work. - some are closed, some are open and some are semi open. - this also makes the construction, little more cost efficient and also visually attractive.
