2016 Personal Design Project
I was asked personally by my house mate to design a logo for a new society he was thinking of starting. He wanted it to look similar to the other Huddersfield sports society logos and to include the same banner on the logo to ensure continuity. The society was created shortly after the logo and it received widespread praise from all the new members and so I decided to design a opening night poster for the society’s first social night. The night was a roaring success which I attended and received compliments on my designs and threw the odd couple of darts.
2014 ‘City In Flux’ University project
The brief was to visualise the change in the city, I chose to focus on statistics and Infographics which are a great way of showing a city in flux. They can document everything that goes on in the city and the people that live there. Each city has different statistics and no city is the same, so looking at this type of information can be really useful in understanding how the city changes and how that effects us. Each fact is represented visually to make them more understandable and to make the fact more interesting. I enjoyed doing this project and as it was my first university project I was proud of my work. Research Document:

2015 Venus ‘Use Your And’ Design Challenge
I think one of the most important, effective ways of advertising is using humour and trying to make your target market laugh. Humour helps the audience remember the advertisement and even better talk to their friends about it. So I went for a more light hearted attempt at the competition which was asking the designer to show women can’t be tied down to one thing, they are that and more. I went for a more literal translation though. The Summer Collection:

2015 ‘New Visual Language’ University project
The brief was to design a magazine entitled ‘New Visual Language’ that focused on modernism & post modernism and also include all our previous work from my first year. I don’t like to admit but I think my research was designed better than the magazine itself. So I’ve included my favourite spreads from my research document. I enjoyed the project and I’m proud of my Research and magazine. My design style improved considerably from this project. Visual Research:

2016 ‘Lecture Notes’ Personal Project
The aim of Lecture Notes was to showcase my notes from all the lectures I had been to throughout the academic year. It was mainly to record my notes and have easy access to them. I recently purchased a scanner and doing scannergrams like this really interests me and I find its relaxing. Lecture Notes Scanned Vol 1:

2014 Final Major Project College
For my final major project I decided to create my own fictional festival and designed all the visual output for it. I researched into other dance/house music festivals and how they promote themselves. I created the logo and advertisements for the festival and then designed the entire programme. Which included the adverts I had made, interviews with people playing at the festival, a map of the festival and timetable for who was on at what time. I also screen printed the t shirt with the logo symbol. Temple festival programme:

2016 Collide Brief University project
PATHFINDER Rule Book
The Collide brief was to collide three themes; Happiness, my future self and the internet & digital age. The brief also asked for a physical and digital output. I decided early on what I wanted to produce and used my time to design a board game. I felt it embodies happiness being a game, it resembles my future as it involves the use of knowledge & luck but rejects the internet because it’s not needed when playing. My Physical output included my board game, rulebook and question cards. My digital output was an animation explaining the rules of the game and setup of the board. Both went down well at my final presentation and I finished second year with a first. Collide Research & Development document:
