Hello.

I am Sam, a visual communicator and critical thinker from the UK living in Australia.

With nearly 3 years agency experience working with large and small brands on cross-channel communications, I relish problem solving and delivering engaging results.

I also don’t hesitate to make a cracking cup of tea when needed.

Greenway Farm Greenway Farm is a traditional Victorian farmhouse offering event space as well as a range of homemade produce.

An impactful, professional and friendly identity was required to represent the growing business. After presenting a range of concept logos, the chosen variant was developed before being applied to business cards, letterheads and packaging labels.

Future Farmers Group When receiving an open brief I find providing a range of initial concepts for consideration sometimes works best for the client.

With the Future Farmers Group they varied from a very corporate look and feel to others that had a bolder, more youthful appeal.

An audit of the marketplace was involved. The chosen logo positions the Future Farmers Group as a market leader, an innovator rather than a follower; a College that is pioneering the way. It was also designed with the consideration it will sit comfortably with key stakeholders’ logos.

Honda I have worked with Honda (UK) on various campaigns and projects.

When presenting an idea or concept I enjoy the oppotunity to create scamps and develop ideas from the sketch pad into a digital format. The brief for the ‘WIN BIG WEEKEND’ initiative was to create an identity to be used online and in print to promote and celebrate Honda motorcycles.

/ Concept Development

Thatchers Cider Tasked with designing a collection of recipe books, written by established British chefs to pair dishes appropriately with cider.

I had to incorporate the style of the food but also had to reflect the key values, image and family heritage of the Thatchers brand. The books were produced to be easily replicable across different communication channels.

/ Printed Brochures

Honda Original Goods Honda Motorcycles released a clothing line of vintage t’s and hoodies for customers and fans of the brand. My brief was to create a look and feel for the printed brochure. This included mood boards, scamps and working with Honda to ensure the product followed brand guidelines. The project developed into more than just a printed piece when we adapted the brochure to work as an interactive PDF with engaging ‘roll-over’ image actions.

Honda Printed Advertising can only deliver so much information.

By working with Aurasma we could offer users exclusive content when they scanned standard press material. A series of animations, based on the current Honda sales material were created to literally make the cars ‘jump off the page’. Combined with video footage and hotspot feature details of the car, the user was engaged in a truly informative and unique augmented reality experience.

Sunday Supper Club I am currently working on the identity for a food truck business.

Brand stories are an important pillar in a brands architecture and I believe If you love the brand you’ll likley become a brand ambasador.

That roast beef, that was lovingly cooked Sunday morning and devoured with lashings of gravy. Eaten at the family table, busy with laughter, reminiscing and affectionate bickering.

That cosy Sunday night feeling, when the tender beef from earlier is just begging to be put on a thick, fresh, soft piece of crusty loaf. Topped, perhaps with some home made pickles, a slather of horseradish and a gravy filled Yorkshire pudding on the side to measure. Because, it would be rude not to.

On the Road For the last year I have been on the road exploring the world and all it has to offer. During my travels I have been keeping a postcard blog as a document of the people I have met and the stories created from some incredible experiences in Russia, China, Mongolia and eight months living in my beloved camper driving around Australia. A year I will never forget.
