Myself My World Project

About Myself My World Working in Summer Camps in Turkey, the project aims to develop English Skills and Cultural Understanding in High School Students through interactive presentations, discussions and activities related to themes connected with Turkey’s Real Social Issues. Even though English education is included in the national education system, according to researches, the English Level of Turkey is considered as low proficiency in the global scenario and one of the lowest between the European countries. Also according to the Annual European Report, Human Rights, Democracy and Discrimination based on color, gender, religion and minorities are top issues in the country for its social development, which prevents the country to be accepted among the European Zone.

Job Descriptions Department you will be working High Schools Job Description 1 Exchange participant has to attend orientation week organized hosting Local Committee in the beginning of program(during this week, participant is responsible of his/her expenses such as food and Local Committee has to cut down the expenses as much as possible) Job Description 2 Exchange participant has to lead high school students and each exchange participant will be responsible for 5-6 students. Job Description 3 All exchange participants have to prepare presentations about their countries to tell how culture they have. They need to prepare some other presantations which will be told by organization committee.


Myself My World Project Job Description 4 All exchange participants needs to shoot short movie with their own team. Short movies could be about self-awareness, world issues and etc. Job Description 5 All exchange participants have to lead conversation/discussion clubs during camps and they need to define subjects and faciliate groups. Job Description 6 All exchange participants needs to fill NPS surveys and other surveys which are applied by LC. They are all for getting feedbacks. Measurable results expected from interns KPI: #Camp area provided, # dynamics/activities, % of interactive groups, Understanding level of Students, Interaction level of Students, # Quality of final report, # Quality of experience evaluated by the Students, % of attendance to the orientation week and weekly meetings; MoS: English development of Students, Cultural Understanding of Students.

Preparation required from the intern before arrival All exchange participants have to bring traditional foods, drinks, clothes for Global Village&Culture Nights which are mandatory to attend. Details on the Working Conditions Any other. Other Details of the Working Conditions  

Accommodation will provided. Transportation and food will be paid by the intern. All exchange participants should share their departure information.

Learning points that the intern might obtain during the internship Myself My World is a great opportunity for interns to learn about Turkish Culture and lifestyle in Turkey and to get closer to other different cultures. By joining a social responsibility project abroad, they are going to learn how to work with high school students, how to organize a project and the most important thing is that they are going to work as volunteers. They are going to recognize what AIESEC is, what we are working for, what is our vision. After going back to their countries, they may want to be part of this great organization; they are going to change other people’ s lives like us. Additional information a potential candidate may require for the internship Independently of your nationality and if you have free tourist entrance to Turkey or not, you MUST take the AIESEC visa. More info: The visa costs around 40 to 60 euros (not provided by AIESEC) and the standard documents required are Invitation Letter and Acceptance Notes (provided by us, AIESEC, after matching).
