About Myself My World Working in Youth Camps in Turkey, the project aims to develop English Skills and Cultural Understanding for students to do more practice through interactive presentations, discussions and sport activities related to themes connected with Turkey’s Real Social Issues.
Job Descriptions Department you will be working Students(9-15 aged) Job Description 1 The intern will work with students who are aged 9-15 years in local and will organize learning circles. Job Description 2 The intern will be encourage students to speak English,he/she will be responsible to create the best environment for students to speak English and do more practice. Job Description 3 The intern will attend social activities such as drama,music,sports etc.. to attract students interest and help them to socialize better. Job Description 4 Intern will help or even teach some lessons, but he/she will be under surveillance of camp teachers. Job Description 5 The intern should be ready to share his/her culture, to be open, to exploit every situation of multicultural integration. Should be talkative, passionate, patient and ready to work with children.
Youth Camp Job Description 6 Interns must participate and assist in all events that will be organized during the camp.They will help with the logistic needed for the project and will work on the outline of the final event. Measurable results expected from interns Plan of the classes of the project, working in an international team and with the local team of the project and teachers, implement the proposed activities, participation in national and local events with AIESEC.Succes of interns will be measured according to # of students that participated the camp,# of sessions delivered, filling surveys, # of AIESEC meetings that is attended by interns and results of the survey that is sent to students.
Preparation required from the intern before arrival Intern must buy his/her both way tickets and send them to person who may concern. Interns should prepare for Global Village by bringing traditional clothes, food, beverages, brochures, gadgets as well as presentation about the country and any other useful materials. Accommodation will provided. In working days two meals will be provided. Transportation will be paid by the intern. All exchange participants should share their departure information.
Learning points that the intern might obtain during the internship During the internship the intern will develop his/her teaching skills by working in a new and cross cultural environment and also experiencing the work with children. He should be ready to be innovative, involving the children as much as possible. The intern will furthermore, develop his/her presentation and communication skills, encouraged by the international situations.The intern will learn more about Turkey, Turkish life style and Turkish Education System. - The intern will have chance to learn other country cultures from other trainees - The intern will improve his/her facilitating skills.
Additional information a potential candidate may require for the internship Every Exchange Participant must obtain "AIESEC internship visa" from Turkish Consulate before arrival. AIESEC internship visa is not a business visa or a touristic visa. It does not matter if the country of origin requires a visa for Turkey or not, every intern of AIESEC has to have this visa in their passports. Independently of your nationality and if you have free tourist entrance to Turkey or not, you MUST take the AIESEC visa.
Youth Camp More info: The visa costs around 40 to 60 euros (not provided by AIESEC) and the standard documents required are Invitation Letter and Acceptance Notes (provided by us, AIESEC, after matching). Each country might have different document requirements.
