traverses the experience of war through the designed with heavy symbolism and uses medium of atmosphere.
YUDH War Museum
Yudh is a reinterpretation of the brief for a national war museum in New Delhi. Yudh is designed to engage users in the experience of war and create awareness about war, its consequences as well as the pride that it has bought our nation. It dramatises human emotions into its spatial quality and serves as a reminder of the price of peace. The museum does this through a carefully curated spaces that reflect the mental space of a direct personnel engaged in war.
The museum is an emotional journey through atmospheric stimulants in the form of physical space that induce pride, shock, fear, intimidation, loss, grief and finally acceptance. The museum uses filtered light in varying degrees using the domed ceilings to reflect light
