End of 1999 just before the turn of the century we were in the mid to high eight percent and over the last 18 years we have seen mostly lower rates since then. With the financial markets going up over the last couple of years, our GDP hi=ng a record high number, along with constant lower unemployment numbers (2.6%) the Fed has adjusted the rates up. This is showing a stabilizing / normal market.
