RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT Children and teens, ages 6 to 18
Our Residential Treatment Program, nationally accredited by The Joint Commission, provides highly individualized evidenced-based therapeutic activities for youth with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders. Children and teens are referred to us from the San Diego region and across the state of California. Based on therapeutic needs and in partnership with family and caregivers, a youth has the opportunity to participate in one of our three innovative therapeutic tracks:
THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTIONS: Individual, group and family therapy combined with music and occupational therapy, recreation, club-based activities, yoga and more, are incorporated within each track. This holistic approach allows each youth to feel supported in addressing their specific needs, and helps foster their development in: • Self-regulation, relaxation and social skills • Self-confidence, emotional expression and mood regulation • Physical health, hygiene and self-care • Nutritional awareness, healthy and mindful eating • Independent living skills • Creativity, talents, interests and hobbies • Cultural awareness, diversity and family traditions Our caring, multidisciplinary team of bilingual and trauma-informed professional staff oversee all activities on our 12-acre campus in Linda Vista, a neighborhood in beautiful San Diego.
