With heavy research done on current famous museums in London, I've come across a number of negative reviews on how most of the work portrayed is stolen and does not represent the British history. My aim is to create a museum that represents the British history and culture where Londoners can view and relate to it somehow. Due to the increasing damage to our planet, there has been a demand on low environmental impact structures and low impact building materials. In order to save the planet whilst also creating an interaction, fun space for everyone, I will be taking into consideration the possible materials that could be used to reduce air pollution and energy consumption. For example, Precast concrete is a good regulator of indoor temperature in buildings in addition to being economical so therefore, this could be one of the materials used for this project. The theme for the design of my museum will be a combination of tessellations in building and Norwegian Viking Knotwork as in my opinion it will stand out from all of the other museums in London. The interior will be more simplistic and promote natural and organic structures in a modern and contemporary style, with a large amount of light, open space.

The museum will go by 'The Museum of East London' the name is simply with no complications, and it gets straight to the point. It will be built in a way where it provides visitors with as many facilities as possible. The variety will include:

• Toilets / Baby changing rooms

• Modern and contemporary style

• Open spaces

• Exhibition rooms

• Food area

• Sitting area

• Disabled access

• Bins/recycling bins

Important note: the items placed in the recycling bin will become a new art project every month and will be put on display. This way, not only is it saving the planet and making it healthier and convenient but also, the community gets to see beautiful outcomes that come from what they would call 'rubbish'. This may also encourage others to recycle in their day-to-day life and transform the community/ borough into cleaner environment.
