Dear Soft Secrets
from 2011 01 UK
by SoftSecrets
Hi Soft Secrets, these are the pictures of my second grows. Both of them were indoors or should i say “intoilets” grown in Bio Bizz All-Mix soil, under HPS 400, with two weeks of vegetative stage. I have used Advanced Nutrients Iguana Grow and Bloom with Sensizym, and Canna PK 13/14. First one is Skunk 47 from Legend Collection (World of Seeds), which unfortunately had to be harvested a little bit too early, because of the mud appearing on main stem. Second one is “Space” from Diamond Collection (World of Seeds), which was blooming for 9 weeks, including one week of flush. Buds were very dense and sticky, with a harsh smoke. Perfect mixture of head high with body stone, which helped me to cure the constant pain in my knees ;) Unfortunately variety has no smell, even after 50days of curing.
P.s. Check out the pic “One love, one Soft Secrets” :) Luv Ya All :P

Not bad at all for a second grow, pat on the back to you. A good example of what you can do with a 400 watt. The Skunk 47 (Skunk x AK47) is a pretty plant to grow, and one of Space’s original parents is reported to be a Black Domina x AK47. If these are favorites of yours, you might try some other AK47 crosses as well.

A little experimental cross of Greenhouse Big Bang x White Widow. It was put on a ten hour bloom cycle by mistake(usually on twelve) Only fed bio biz bloom/ grow, didnt bother with extra PK, carbo or any bling. Just wanted to see what it would do.Was able to keep lights on temp around 22 and got buds about 5 inches from the 400 sodium. It started off as usual White Widow, nice thistly stigmas, then at week 4-5 in bloom it started to change and mature too fast, taking on the Big Bang shape. Chopped it at 60 days, nice and sticky .Was very happy with this.
M
Very nice result with a 400 watt hps. The ten hour bloom cycle doesn’t seem to have hurt them much. Longer dark periods are okay, and just slow growth, but too short of a dark period can send them back into growth, commonly referred to as “revegging”. Well done M. Very frosted looking. Big Bang (El Nino, Skunk, Northern Lights) and White Widow cross seems to be a success for you. Bravo.

Bubblegum x GrapeKrush and Blue Cheese, grown organically with BioCana Bloom and BioBoost towards the end of flowering I used Gravity BUT didn’t raise the lights which caused the top buds to get a little fried -- but live and learn. The sexy girl is trimming BG x GrapeKrush ---- small yield but super tasty!

Very nice looking Blue Cheese, dry it well, if it tastes anything like it looks, you should be a happy couple.

Nice looking colas, if you trim off the lower limbs on the plant that don’t produce well, you will find that the top gets bigger. Her lower limbs are fine just the way they are. It also looks like you have more space for another couple of plants if you chose.

The dead foliage hanging off the plant and the leaves in the pot should be removed and not allowed to sit. If left sitting on wet soil they can be a breeding ground for insects and molds. You might also consider taking a sample a bit earlier, as it looks like this make have been let flower a little too long.

Wonderful example of a proper pair of panties. It looks like you have enough room to let the plants get a bit bigger, or to grow more a bit closer together.

Great example of a simple plant in a simple pot. Natural lighting is free, and plants love it. What every household can have when reason takes the day and growers are allowed to come out into the open. You are on your own on figuring out how to get beautiful women to run around topless in polka dot panties though.

Like furry snakes on a medusa. Every branch productive, a well maintained plant indeed.

Lovely flower, artistically done. Next time, if you wear latex gloves, you can avoid marring the surface with fingerprints as you work. Almost to pretty to smoke, but looks quite tempting to try .

Nice repurposed use of drawers. If you trim off the smallest of the lower branches as they develop, you can still train and stake the remaining branches, which should develop larger floral clusters. Be careful that the fan doesn’t blow hard directly on the plants.

Dear Soft Secrets,
I am sending you some pictures of my first solo attempt at growing, after being inspired by a friend of mine when was asked to pose for some pictures of his crop which you published in issue 2 of 2010.
gelhaze22
Looks about on par with your friend’s grow. Nicely staked, enough but not overdone. Exceptional first grow. Education makes all the difference.

Wonderful use of space in a small but well planned grow space. Keep an eye out for bud rot in the center where the airflow is the most restricted. If heat gives you trouble, you might want to consider getting some air cooled hoods, but if the heat isn’t being an issue, just keep doing what you are doing. No sense arguing with success. And such a lovely lass to match. Take a bow.

Wonderfully accessorized outfit MaryLou. The green boa by your arm could go with a bit of a trim, and be careful of stepping on the buds below, but we’d love to see you walk down a fashion runway in it.
