#2

The Hotel is G+6 and having 232 guestrooms keys. Located in a prominent location in Al Khuwair area, accessible from two major roads. It’s location also opens towards either the mountain or sea view. Massing design of the Hotel building was inspired by the nature and landscape of Oman. The vertical mass and curvy shape of building block layout celebrates the mountains of Oman, with the cracks that let the water flow from top to bottom of the building, as water features, on both horizontal and vertical planes. The project was designed to become an ‘oasis’ to the community, providing a ‘new’ language of architecture style, an upscale quality of a 3star Hotel, with a sizable green lushed family friendly Public Park.

The Hotel’s name which contains the word ‘Garden’ was well emphisized by the rare opportunity to connect and integration of the Public Park or Garden which takes more than 60% of the overall site size.

The Hotel guestrooms are all facing either towards the North/Sea or South/ Mountain, and sun path study was done carefully to allow the cooling load effort to be in optimum performance. On the guestroom’s windows perforated metal frames/mashrabiya was also installed to maximised shading to the wide windows of the hotel guestrooms with minimum blockage of the views.
