DEI hosts evening gathering to highlight DEI and welcome folks back to campus Last month the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion task force at Sanford Burnham Prebys sponsored a special gathering to highlight the importance of DEI and welcome all back to campus with a happy hour. Dr. Hud Freeze was our host and Dr. Randy Mills delivered a speech to more than 150 attendees on DEI’s importance to the ultimate success of the Institute. His key message was, the right thing to do Better Scientists Better Research is also the right thing to do, so there can be no argument regarding it being included as a fundamental pillar of both Better Scientists Better Research our culture and our strategy. A big thanks to the DEI Learning Committee for organizingBetter a fun Scientists and Better Research meaningful event. Better Scientists

The beta review was conducted successfully with our test team of external advisory reviewers. The exercise gave us tremendously valuable guidance on not only how to conduct the upcoming review most efficiently but also identified the ideal materials and information that will aid in that review.
3
The draft thesis tee’d up the issues and fleshed out the content on which our external reviewers will base their evaluation. Getting this nailed down for our first review in December is an essential ingredient for success.
