Handcrafted Printed Saree Sari might be a popular dress today, but it started from being a simple drape used by women thousands of years ago. Women traditionally put on different types of local handloom saris made of silk, cotton, ikkat, blockprint, embroidery, and tie-dye textiles. Earlier, the wealthy Indian women started demanding the artisans use costly stones and gold threads to make exclusive saris for them, which could make them, rise out clearly. But the sari remained unbiased as a garment and was adapted by each woman, in their own style. That was the beauty of the dress that remains. The journey of the sari was established with cotton; also some weavers started using popular dyes like indigo, red madder, and turmeric to produce the saree . That’s how handcrafted printed saree in India became popular.
