• Discover common traits and differences among people from past to present.
• Examine and evaluate evidence (primary and secondary sources) to understand the social, political, environmental, technological, economic, and spiritual factors of human development.
Methodology
• A variety of techniques and strategies are used in Social Studies class, ranging from collaborative groupwork to individual classwork. Also, oral presentations, lectures, notetaking, guided reading, class discussions, games, and graphic organizers.
• Oral participation is strongly encouraged.

• Strong stress on understanding historical issues and developing skills in reading and writing needed for successful performance in critical thinking.
