Science and Health

The 8th grade student is expected to:

Contribute to solving problematic environmental and sanitary situations. Also, to participate in actions tending to the preservation of the environment and the promotion of community health habits. To innovate with STEM projects, to develop critical thinking by using the scientific method. To cooperate in activities for preserving personal health and a clean environment; and to demonstrate the ability to apply a decision-making process to health issues and problems individually and collaboratively.

Methodology Resources

Assessments of prior knowledge through drawings, debates and case analysis. Making posters, concept maps, word-webs, videos, participation in games and roleplay. Performing experiments in the lab. Using oral and written linguistic skills to explain learned concepts. Developing art skills to express themselves, critical thinking through discussions, analysis of different events and reflection. Building business and technological knowledge through the STEM project.
