ROOTS: GUJJARS OF SARISKA LAW, ENVIRONMENT AND DESIGN LABORATORY Creating awareness about participatory conservation through guidelines for/at the Gram Panchayat level, to form the Forest Rights Committee . Research and Analysis tools

Interviewing and data collection

To empower the community of Gujjars in the Sariska Tiger Reserve to obtain access benefits and forest rights ( by way of the Forest Rights Act, 2008) as incentives for conserving the surroundings.

ROOTS: GUJJARS OF SARISKA LAW, ENVIRONMENT AND DESIGN LABORATORY

An Infographic that visualises the Forest Rights Act of 2006 to enable a paralegal or NGO worker to navigate the Rights-Responsibilites-Evidence. Along with this Infograph, is a set of 15 placards that elaborate the steps that need to be completed to claim forest rights.

This project was focussed on exploring traditional Indian calligraphy tools to write the ‘Devnagri’ script. Using these explorations, I tried to create a style of alphabets.

CREATION OF ARTIFACTS TO ADDRESS A GAP IN AN EXISTING OBJECT TO MAKE IT MORE USER-FRIENDLY

Through this project, I took an idea from the concept, to an alpha prototype, to a beta prototype, to show its usability.

A solution to address the problem of earphones getting tangled and hence getting spoilt.
