Floating is already used today by therapists and physicians in high-performance sports to shorten recovery phases. Positive reports on floating applications can also be found from the areas of pain therapy and stress management. Added to that are the comfort and experience factors, particularly in the wellness field. More and more hotel operators are offering
their guests this special attraction and thereby elevating themselves from their competition. Salt water lets the body float Whereas the salt content in normal salt water pools is usually 0.4 - 2%, the concentration in a floating pool is up to 27%. The high salt concentration allows the body to float weightlessly. While floating, one can relax, fully shielded from the outside world; one hears and sees nothing. The BlueControl®-Pilot with touchscreen is the control unit for the floating pool.
The screen displays the water values of pH, redox and chlorine, as well as the salt water temperature and salt concentration. If these deviate from the set target values, the connected dosing units are activated and the water values are automatically corrected. The unit can be controlled by the touch of a finger to the touchscreen of the Ospa-BlueControl®Pilot. Graphical menus make opera tion simple and easy to understand.

The investment sum for a floating unit begins at approx. 70,000 Euros, but can also exceed the 100,000 Euro mark for correspondingly luxurious equipment. The trend is toward luxurious installations The profit margin with simple floating tanks is relatively high, with low space and investment requirements, but the trend is nevertheless toward more visu-
ally enticing, luxurious floating facilities with open pools in their own spaces. Guest acceptance of these installations is considerably higher. The feeling of
