Even in ancient times, people knew of the healing and curative powers of water and the therapeutic effects of heat treatment and massage. But they also knew that these elements have a particularly strong effect on the body when combined. This is exactly what a whirlpool does, offering the unique combination of water – heat – air. The buoyant force of water makes the body feel lighter and lets it float, therefore relaxing muscles, joints and nerves. The heat stimulates the circulation by widening the blood vessels and increasing the blood flow. This combination of water and heat increases blood flow to parts of the body with poor circulation. An increased circulation then results in better transportation of oxygen, nutrients and other vital substances to organs, tissues and cells. Massage jets provide targeted relief to problem areas, relaxing tense muscles and improving circulation through them. Additionally, the massage brings about a “pumping effect“ that reinforces blood circulation in the deep tissue

and internal organs. An air bubble or oxygen bath provides your body with oxygen which is then transported to blood vessels and cells. Only 15 minutes in the pool can double the oxygen saturation of your skin! The ergonomics of our RivieraSpas is designed according to hydrotherapeutic aspects. The most important principles are:
Freedom of movement: The body needs to freely float so that the tissue and muscles can relax. There should be enough space to move tense and stiff areas of the body in front of a jet and find a good and comfortable position. The distance between body and jet has to be alterable, allowing precise adjustment of the water stream‘s intensity. The right jet in the right place: For an optimal full body massage, a whirlpool needs to be equipped with several kinds of jets: gentle jets for a soft and superficial massage of skin and front side of the body, big and powerful jets for the strong muscle areas of the back and small mircojets that perform
strong finger pressure massage directed towards the muscles in the shoulder and neck area and the back. The air bubble system: Increased blood circulation and nutrient transportation necessitates a good administration of oxygen. The soft air bubble massage affects the body in a very gentle way and perfectly complements the massage jets. You shouldn‘t miss out on this. Our RivieraSpas optimally combine the mechanisms of water, heat, air and the construction of lounge and seating areas in the pool. They offer a 20minute vital model consisting of eight fine-tuned whirling phases, delivering a holistic full body experience that is geared to today‘s top 25 health issues.

Soft and superficial massage
Have a seat! The water gently reaches over your hips and envelopes you with its comforting, soothing heat. Just sit and enjoy the water and heat for about two minutes. Relax and let your soul, mind and body come to rest. The heat that is transferred in to your body improves your circulation, the buoyancy of the water relieves your joints. The water temperature should be maintained at about 36° C. Lower temperatures are vivifying and stimulating, higher temperatures have a more relaxing or even sleep-inducing effect. Carefully test how your body reacts to different temperatures. You will be surprised at the difference only 1° C can make.
Multijets and Multi-Masterjets: These multi-aperture jets produce a soft and voluminous stream of water. They are ideal to gently massage the skin and muscle areas in the front of the body, preparing it for a deep tissue massage.

Turbojets: These big and powerful jets are directed onto the large and strong muscle areas of the lower back, providing deep-tissue hydrotherapy levels. Both turbojets are strategically located and directed towards the lower back, thus giving your trunk muscles, sciatic nerve and hip joint a powerful, targeted massage. It relaxes tense and stiff muscles, helps to loosen up joints and connective tissue and is ideal for relieving arthritis pain. This massage is particularly suited to ease sore back muscles, sciatic nerve pain and hip joint stiffness. The massage session should not last longer than one minute.
Number one problem area “the back“: This massage explicitly centres on the back with your spine and vertebra, the muscle groups located on left and right side of the spine, your shoulder blades and shoulders. Strong and well exercised muscles are the most important precondition for a healthy back. The oppositely directed superjets thoroughly massage back muscles and tissue, quite similar to Shiatsu techniques based on traditional Chinese medicine. The massage also extends down to your feet, small microjets perform a strong finger pressure massage directed towards the reflex zones of the feet. This massage session should be about six minutes long.
Wellness & Therapy The right jet in the right place Different kinds of jets provide different kinds of massage experiences and effects. Each area of the body has its specific problems and needs. Therefore, it is important that all jets are fully adjustable so that the whirlpool can
be customised to suit you and your body. Only 15 minutes in the whirlpool will increase the level of oxygen in your blood by approximately 10 %. What a great way to provide your organs with oxygen!

5 Ventilating whirlbath: While you are relaxing on the lounger, the large-scale air jet massage gives your body a special treat, especially the feet, legs and bottom. Due to the strong turbulence, the fine yet powerful bubbles spread throughout the water, stick to your skin and provide the urgently needed oxygen. The larger bubbles produce a pulsating vibration that is directly transferred to the body and reaches the deep layers of muscle tissue. Hydrobaths massively increase circulation and multiply heat transfer to the body. If frequently used, the RivieraSpa helps to gradually expel waste products and toxins from the body, especially at chronic centres of inflammation. A gentle lymphatic drainage massage stimulates the body‘s lymphatic system and helps to reduce cellulite. The fine micro-bubbles even have the effect of a mild body scrub, cleaning and opening up your pores. We recommend two minutes for this massage phase.
6 Microjets: These small jets are not bigger than a finger and provide an
intense, precise finger pressure massage. They are directed towards the muscles in the shoulders and neck as well as the muscle groups located on the left and right side of the spine and the muscles in feet and calves. The microjets continue the work of the rotating superjets, but give a more precise massage with focus on the shoulder girdle. Just like the masseur who first massages all of your body‘s muscle groups, before specifically turning to individual tense and stiff muscles. If you let your body gently submerge deeper into the water, the microjet massage moves on to your neck and head, and even reaches and eases the aching tendons. Then slowly move or turn your trunk and lead the pulsating jet streams to your shoulder joint. This punctual massage phase should take about two minutes. In America, this type of massage is called “Watsu“, a combination of “water“ and the Japanese finger pressure massage “Shiatsu“. The microjets in all RivieraSpas are individually lockable and adjustable for water and air volume, flow direction and intensity.

7Absorb the energy: After the massage session, you should give your body the chance to absorb the released energy. Use a buoyancy aid and enjoy the sensation of freely floating through the water. Wave Highline – Reinvention of pool design. The Wave Highline impresses with its simple, rectangular shape, with four seats in the corners diagonally facing each other. It is geared to four people who have plenty of space for stretching and floating. Comfortable neck pillows and a large array of massage and air jets really get your circulation moving. The special highlight: the water level is flush with the floor, allowing your selected flooring to be laid up to the edge of the pool and cover the recessed overflow channel. In order to keep waves and splashes from flooding the pool area, the water level can be lowered at the push of a button before bathing. Thus, the overflow channel also functions as a splash overflow channel. A covering grate is available for public or frequently used spas.

Smooth transitions without disturbing edges create an unobstrusive and, at the same time, uniquely elegant look. The maximum depth of water enables an exceptional massage experience and the large water volume provides plenty of free moving space. This allows your whole body to glide into the water and float freely in outstrechted position. It is also possible to install shoulder and neck jets below the water surface and thus achieve an even better massage effect. Splash water and waves are absorbed by the overflow channel, providing a gentle and calm water surface. All Riviera public spas are inground spas that can be covered with mosaic, ceramic, natural stone or wood paneling after installation. The pool technology is pre-assembled in the factory and stored in a separate utility shaft. To assure a constant water level, the pool will be equipped with an overflow collection tank (capacity: 1.000 l) with an automatic water level contoller. You can manage all of your pool‘s massage functions directly from the seating or lounging area via a waterproof, floating remote control. Inground spas are either available as skimmer pools or Highline pools. The skimmer pools are equipped with an integrated skim filter, their top water level lies at about 10 cm below the pool edge. In contrast, the Highline design allows the water to run over the pool edge into a covered channel. Thus, the water surface is flush with the floor and merges with its surroundings. The diagonal placement of the massage seats guarantees freedom of movement and full body immersion.
