HEAD TO BLAZIN’ CAJUN FOR THIS EVERYDAY SPECIAL

 BY NORA HESTON TARTE

Any day of the week, customers at Blazin’ Cajun Restaurant in Lodi can throw back an oyster shooter for just $5. Starting with a fresh Pacific oyster inside of a shot glass, bartenders then layer on Bloody Mary juice and top it with vodka. The shot, which is best enjoyed after eating a tasty raw oyster from the menu—according to owner Sam—gets its kick from the rim. Using a fresh wedge of lemon (later used to garnish the glass) to wet the top before dipping the shot glass into Old Bay seasoning is the final touch to this fun party starter.
