Hot Cocoa Ingredients 4 C milk (whole, 2%, or unsweetened plant-based milk) 1/4 C unsweetened cocoa powder 1/4 C granulated sugar 1/2 C bittersweet, semisweet chocolate chips, or chopped chocolate bar 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract

Directions Pour milk in a saucepan and heat on medium-low. For an extra creamy and flavorful hot cocoa, use milk or a plant-based milk instead of water. Whisk in cocoa powder and sugar, and heat until warm. Next, add chocolate chips, whisking until melted, and then add vanilla extract. Serve immediately, topped with your favorite garnishes: marshmallows, whipped cream, chopped chocolate, or crushed candy canes. Makes 3–4 servings.
