In this project we will look at the paintings of Sonya Rapoport. In these paintings, Sonya made use of stencils and symbols to create abstract works which held deep personal meaning. In this project we will make stencils out of found objects, and invent our own symbols to create artwork reminiscent of Rapoport's paintings.
