Man s A Wave o to the sea: there are millions of ~aves. You never see the sea, you a l w ay s see the w a v es, because they are on the surface. But every wave is nothing but a waving of the sea; the sea is waving through all the w aves. Remember th e o cean an d f o r ge t t h e ~ a v e s because waves don't really exist, only the ocean exists. T he ocean can exist w i t h o u t t h e w a v es, bu t t h e w aves cannot exist w i t h o u t t h e o c ean. I f t h er e i s n o ocean, there can be no w a ves — or can there be? Then ~hat will w ave in them? They cannot be, but the ocean can be. There isno need for the waves; the ocean can be silent. If there is no wind blow ing the ocean will be there, silent. T he ocean can exist- withou t t h e w a v es, bu t t h e waves cannot exist without the ocean. So waves are just the surface, and waves are accidental - through the action of the winds they have come into existence. They have come into existence from without; some accident has cre ated them. If the wind is not bl ow i ng, the ocean will be silent and non-waving. So waves are accidents created from wi t h o ut, on th e surface - the ocean is something totally different. And the same is the case with all being. The tree is also a wave, and the man is also a wave, and the rock is also a wave. And behind the rock, and the tree, and the man, the same ocean is hidden. That ocean is called by Upanishads the Brahma. The Brahma, the ultimate soul, the absolute soul, is just the ocean. So look at a man but don't cling to the surface: immediately move to the depth and see the Brahma hidden there. Osho - Vedanta: Seven Steps To Samadhi

What brought you to this work?
T en years ago I was on my w a y out. I had cancer of' the uterus and I had been given one year to live. I could hardly walk. The distance from Yogi park to the ashram that usually takes 5 minutes took me 25 minutes. A g ood friend told me a healer was in town . I was very much against all that mum bo-jumbo as I called it in those days. I came from a medically oriented background. I'd tried everything to heal the symptoms of my condition from the outside in . When I met Dheeraj (who developed Tibetan Pulsing) he gave me an eye reading and told me w i t hin a few m i n u tes that I had something going on in my ov arian circuit which really needed prompt attention. He also told me I needed to find a new direction in life, He worked on me for four sessions. After every session I had strong dreams and really processed a lot. After the fourth session he said "Okay, the rest you can do yourself. We can do half of the work." That meant I had to learn Tibetan Pulsing. It took me only six months and I di d n't have any cancer cells left. I went back to the west and had it cherked out. I gained so much c onfidence and trust in this work . My vitality totally went up. Before I couldn't stand up, now I could jump and d a nce for h o u rs, And all through bringing the inner fire into a flow and burning all the darkness.
What happens when someone comes to you for a session for the first time? The way I find out where to wor k on a person is through an eye
reading (not iridology). You go through the iris and you find markings in the eye. You see how old they are and in which organs they are. Markings are also related to psychological patterns. From the markings I choose the darkest spot in the circuit. Often people can't r emember the cause of this marking, because it is so hidden in darkness. That's the difference between our approach and the mediral approach. The medical approach is through the symptoms and our approach is through the rallse.
There are 25 circuits to choose from in each eye, which are electrical channels in our body. If we clear the channel related to the organ, the whole disease is tranformed. So in the session we wo rk on the physiral form, and the emotional body and then the third body is reached, the mental body, and you can see ~here it comes from. With the fourth body vve hit the consciousness level, This is the level where you really transform and then you are basically healed. Once we decide which rircuit we are going to work on, we go into the heart, we feel the pulse beat within ourselves and we use this energy, which is a positive energy. And with the positive energy wave we Hood the negativity out. If the point has really been hit, you can enter a clearing state where high FOR THE O SH O W I N G S temperature comes up for a
M A P R E M SA M A R P IT O
F RIEN D S day or so. This is not the fever you usually have when you are sick, you feel good and you are in a good space and your voltage is up. We really work on the electrical body and through this heat the negative energy is transported out.
This work is so refined and so different to
other kinds of body or energy work. Why is this so? When we connect all four bodies together in an artful way, a current starts flowing between these circuits and brings about for the person v ho has the session the experience of being sent off to a different dimension. This is the subtlety you talked about. When you look at the places where I work after the session, you' ll find red marks, because I work with a lot of heat which I generate inside myself and then put out. When I am totall.y in balance with my w o rk, I am in meditation and just there for the person that receives the session. The person then goes into a different dimesion, leaving the body, and that gives me just the body to work on. I sit in different yoga positions depending on what I'm w o r k ing on. I hold the position and shoot the energy through my heels, knees or whichever part of my body. Then I become one with the person and we go together in meditation and the healing and transformation happen. During this, the person feels totally relaxed, so the mind is not concerned and it can feel like nothing is happening. Tibetan Pulsing comes from a space beyond the mind and is hitting also beyond the mind. It is definitely a form of w ork that has an eHect on consciousness. After the session I take the person to look into the mirror. You look into your eyes and see somebody else looking at you.
Can you explain a little more what you mean when you say the person is taken into another dimension? Usually we are run by our m i nds and in Tibetan Pulsing we take the energy away from the head, the busy mind, and fall into the heart. When you are in the heart there is no left and no right, there's no up and no down, the heart doesn't know du ality. Ou r w o r k is of tantric Osho Wings - S e pt(Oct

a~let IIE PRACTITIONER TRAINING IN TIIE THIRD PSYCIIOLOGY
has been deferred until mid-March, 1998. This is due to the fact that Indivar will bc running a 2-week Practitioner Training in Poona
in late October this year. If you are interested in the March course, phone QO 5509 for a brochure. The Training teaches methods and techniques to go beyond the conditioned mind. This course is designed for people intcrcsted in becoming Practitioners of oneself as well as people working with others.

AWARENBSE IN THE M~T PLACE is a Igweekcoorsein how to bring a new awareness to old problems, how to use that which
is known to lead to the unknown, that life can be lived in a different way, that onc does not have to remain in despair, in anguish. Each participant wiff be given the opportunity in untying the knots of their early conditioning.
This course is led by Indivar and will begin mid-December on Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm. Cost: $500. Limited to 12 people.
Friday Night Darsban Cooking WAole L Mn t a rrnl F oo/s 7'o Beni the Bo d y, Mind 4 M o o / s Thursday evening course beginning in October!!
Phone Sahaja on 4185103 for brochure origin. When we touch the person our eyes are closed and we are there with heart energy, with the strength of the spine and tr ansformed sexual energy, which we use for the healing. And through our emptiness and stillness we hold the points for at least 45 minutes and this stillness and emptiness flows also into the other person. So you can remember in a session through the inner eye where patterns actually came from. A lot of diseases are stored in our DNA and a't a certain time of your life somehow they are called forth.
Can you tell us a bit about the work Dheeraj is doing with viruses? Dheeraj right now is focusing on Hepatits C for which the medical field has not found a cure. There was a member of our house who had been exposed to the virus and finally three weeks ago was cleared totally through pulsing and now doesn't even have any anti足 bodies. This person has been put back into the state before they were exposed to the virus. The same also applies to the AIDS virus, you can also reverse that virus. When I first heard Dheeraj talking about this, during my first training, I was the most skeptical of all. I heard him say that the Herpes virus runs in the bladder circuit and that it relates to bad conscience around your sexuality. I used to get a Herpes blister on my upper lip about three times a year, whenever I was out of balance. I thought I had done so many groups in Poona One and dealt with all my sexual issues. When we worked on the bladder circuit, within 45 minutes I got the biggest Herpes blister I ever had in my life. From that moment

A NIGHT to come and sit silently with others. a night to evoke thc presence of the Master. A one-hour silent sitting every Friday 7-8pm at 59 Wray Avenue, Fremantle. Please wear white robe.
SAMMASAI S UNDAY uill be the last Sunday in
September - a day of sitting silently at the Osho Kharabat in Keysbrook. Cost:$30. on I never questioned the work. Often people are skeptical about Tibetan Pulsing, but I would say you can heal anything with Tibetan Pulsing from the inside. We can treat cancer, breast lumps, which we documented. We also treat hair loss and alopecia. Within six months of working a specific circuit, the hair will grow back again, eyebrows and all. In an other case, a ~oman had a breast lump of 4 cm and we worked on her everyday for three weeks. We connect the circuit through the New M ind process and melt the lump and pull it out. After three weeks she had a medical check and the lump was down to 1.1 cm.
Can you talk about the effects of Tibetan
Pulsing on the ageing process? Ageing has to do with the hormones. Hormones are messengers in our body. I can just come from my own experience in regards to ageing. The ovaries and the estrogen level in women have a great impact on how the woman looks. When I came to menopause I pulsed my ovaries everyday. Working with the ovaries is the source of a woman's freshness, vitality and radiance. This is basically vvhat we do on Monday nights with the womens' work. With men it's their testes. When I was in the West I asked a gynaecologist to give me a status report. He said, "I don't know how you do it but your hormonal level is one of a twenty year old." The secret is when you go deep in this work you leave the body and become one with your light body. In this time the body receives a total relaxation. Your mind gives up control and it is just your body there, and during that time you don't age. '" ('more info on page 21

You might like to come back to the middle for a moment and pause. Learning about relaxation and Ie t + o , th e m o re comfortable and pleasurable the learning process is, the more willingly it is absorbed. Any discomfort or effort gets in the way. So listen to your body ... how would this feel best to you? Come back to the pendulum, same side. Let it swing again, asking, "what could be softer? Freer?" Do you feel your body responding to the invitation? Good, and what could be even so f t e r th a t t h i s? Keep

Let Those Shoulders Drop Our shoulders and neck are areas where most of us collect a lot of tension. Any kind of stress, worry, fear and insecurity seems to hit here. So here's something simple and playful you can do for yourself
exploring. How free is the movement in your shoulder' ?
to encourage let-go and relaX a t ) o n . It doesn't take much time, but really makes a difference. Standing comfortably, let one arm hang freely from your shoulder (you might like to lean a little to that side), and feel the weight of your arm. Maybe shake it a little, feeling the weight of the fingers, hand, forearm, your whole arm. Maybe you can also feel the weight of your shoulder, Now rest the arm, come back to the midline and notice any difference between both sides. Lean a little to the same side again so the arm
hangs fr e e l y, and now let it start swinging back and forth like the pendulum of a big clock. Experiment with just how little effort it takes to keep the movement going. What's the minimum of energy required? How big of a swing feels best to you? A bigger one or a smaller one? What feels freer, easier?
Can you feel your shoulder blade gliding back and forth? And freer than this would be ....? Come to the middle and rest again. Notice any difference between both sides. Now, feeling its weight, shake the arm out just a little more, as if you want to shake loose a bunch of strings. Feel the vibration, the shimmer. that moves in your muscles, all the way into your shoulders, your neck. You might be surprised that the softer you shake, the de e p e r and f u r t h er those shimmers ripple. Stop and notice the difference between the two sides. Such a simple thing to do, yet it can make such a difference! Do the same with the other side, and take your time to explore the feelings of letting go. This is not an exercise, but a feeling experience that creates a learning not just in the body but also in the brain. By the way, you can also do this sitting, at the computer, in the office ... anywhere.
Above all, e njoy!

Beloved Osho, Does the universe love me?
t
t is a wrong question to ask. You should ask the other way round, "Do you love the universe?" because the universe is not a person. It cannot love you. It has no center, or you can say "everywhere it has the center," but it is a nonpersonal phenomenon. How ran a nonpersonal existencelove you? You can love. But when you love, the universe responds responds absolutely. If you take one step towards the universe, the universe takes a thousand and one steps towards you; but that's a response. You will have to undezst@pct~whvat Lao Tzu says: t hat the nature of existence~ e ~ e. A w om a n w a i t s; she never initiates. The magb'is ' ~ o a nd i n i t i a te. The
wall; you will not find a door. You will feel hurt because you will clash against the wall. The very beginning is wrong. You should ask, "Do I love the wife?" "Do I love the husband'?" "Do I love the children?" "Do I love my father and my mother?" But always start from yourself do you love. And this is the mystery: if you love, suddenly you
know everybody loves you. If you love the wife, she loves you; if you love the husband, he loves you; if you love the children, they love you. A person who loves from his heart is being responded to from everywhere. Love can never be fruitless. It blooms. But you should start rightly, on the right track; otherwise everybody is asking, "Does the other love

niverse is the mother. It is always better to call the
God "mother" than "father". The father is not so relevant. Universe is the mother: feminine, waiting for y ou - waiting for you for ever and ever - but you w i l l have to knock at the door. You will find it i m m e d iately opened if you knock, but if you d o n't knock you can go on standing at the gate ... The existence is not going to open it; it is not aggressive. Even in love it is not aggressive. That's why I say it w il l respond. But don't ask the wrong question. Don't ask , "Does the universe love me?" Love the universe and you will find that your love is nothing. The universe gives you such infinite love, returns your love with such infinite response ... But it is a response — the universe never initiates; it waits. And it is beautiful that it waits; otherwise the whole beauty of love will be lost. But this question arises; it has a relevance with your mind. This is how hu m an mi nd f u n c tions: it always asks, "Does the other love me?" The woman, the wife asks, "Does the husband love me?" The husband goes on asking, "Does the wife, the woman, love me?" The children go on thinking, "D oes the mother, the father love me?" and the parents go on thinking whether the children love them. You always ask about the other. You are asking a wrong question. You are moving in a wrong direction. You will come across a
me?" and the other is also asking the same question. Then nobody loves, then love becomes just a fantasy, the love disappears from the earth — as it has happened. It has disappeared; it exists only in the poetries of poets - fantasies, imagination, dreams. Reality is absolutely devoid of love now, because you have started with a wrong question. Drop that question like a disease, Drop it and escape from it, and always ask, "Do I love?" and that will become the key, With that key you can open any heart, and with that key, by and by, you will become so artful that you can open the very existence with that. key; then it becomes prayer. Just ask the question, "Does the universe pray to you?" Then it will look foolish; then it will look just absurd. "Does the universe pray to you?" - you w il l not even ask that, but prayer is nothing but the highest blossoming of love. You pray to the universe and then you find from everywhere rivulets of love flowing tow ards you. You become fulfilled. The universe has much to give to you, but for that you have to be open. And the opening is possible only if you love: then you become open, otherwise you remain closed. And even the universe is helpless against your closedness.

my girlfriend. She wasn't there and I wanted to know all about this "trip", so he took me out instead. Thus my introduction to Osho. At last I had found a wise man (Osho that is!) who spoke my language, simple beautiful words who resonated deep in my being. He seemed to have the answers to all of my questions. It took me a few more years before I took the plunge into sannyas. My mind came up w ith all sorts of reasons why not to, from wearing orange and the mala to joining a "group" . I d e c ided I wo uld be a secret sannyasin. Then one day I was reading "I am the Gate" and that was it - Gonzo ... I ronically, connecting with this "group" of individuals on the same path as me has been one of the greatest gifts of sannyas. I was given the name Ma Ar p ana Swarupo. Swarupo means Self Nature, At last I had permission to be myself. I ttm specially grateful to Osho for Dynamic Meditation as I have needed something as strong as that to lift my " d o p e" v eil. Thank you, thank you and yet again thank you, Beloved Master. +

ett e f- to ate Dear Osho Wings,
l Ot
I would like to start by saying a big thanks to Susheela and Kaiyum fo the Leela Centre and the service they are providing to our community. I loved the last celebration and felt very taken care of. I would like to share some thoughts and feelings I have had. A while ago I was in Pune having a conversation with a Sydney based sannyasin. I found myself telling her I lived in Perth and she commented on how she had heard there was quite a connected community in Perth. That we had a community magazine and had celebrations regularly. Then I began to remember at the March celebration a visiting therapist and several associates actively canvassing their upcoming groups to myself and other friends. I also remembered the other part of the conversation I had had with the Syndney based sannyasin. She said they used to have celebrations and meditate together in Sydney but she stoped going as the flavour of the gatherings became too much like a business meeting. I am grateful for the beautiful celebrations we have here and love to meditate with other sannyasins. From what I can gather we have unique celebrations, that don't happen like this anywhere else in Australia. I don't want to be canvassed by anyone for their groups at celebrations. I find notice boards sufficient to keep me informed of up and coming events. However, at celebrations perhaps a table can be provided for extra flyers 8r brochures. I wonder if anyone else has anything to say on this. I just want to say too, how much I love reading the Wings!

Anyway the officials decided that there were no seeds in Taruja's mala, so they both got in. Now, where the hell did we arrive?! Taruja noticed in the darkness that there was basically nothing, no people at all, compared to crowded places like Poona and Singapore. Shadhu was too tired to notice anything at all. Q: H o w

c week - laugh for e instructions for Mystic Rose are incredibly simple: first no reason at all, second week - cry for no reason at all and third week - sit silently and watch. Almost everyone in this group did it for the first time. We had a wild start. I was worried about the noise level — but Kaiyum took so much care that we didn't have any problems and neither in the laughing or the
crying was there any restriction, I loved the humour, sincerity, fun and lightness people brought into the first week. Mystic Rose is a lot like a river, first happily rushing on and then turning into the underground, flowing through deep darkness, unknown currents, powerful emotions and emerging again to silently disappear into the ocean. In the middle of the crying week there was a moment when I felt we were becoming one heart. The sitting week was easy, with magical moments here and there, and visited by the sounds of rain and ho~ l i n g w i nd s w h ich lifted us above the noises of the city. I am grateful. Grateful to my M aster, who has given us this incredible meditation and to everyone who helped and participated. With love P ra m a d a

Crying
Sitting
I was amazed that simply laughing
4th day of crying. Shame, feelings
could move through as many layers as it did, Even after the first two sessions there was a noticeable lessening of the mind's activity. Gaps appeared and by the end of the week I felt I had undergone a cleansing. Sitting became relatively easy and quietly joyous. I noticed an abundance of energy although I went to sleep easily if not for long. Old wounds like guilt and shame were healed by our crazy antics, For me particularly around sex, attention and judgement. I really appreciated the women in the group as I was in a negative, angry state towards women when I started the group and just to play and laugh with them has broadened my perspective and closed the distance I was keeping.
of not being good enough - self worth are to the front. Rage and pain together. Particularly around women and sex. For me the issue that came really strongly was the pain of not connecting my heart and sex. This manifests chiefly in treating women like objects and providers of sex. These are my sisters not my lovers, was the phrase that came to me and each time a new wave of pain. At one stage I felt I had been raped in a previous life, another, tortured. The body was doing all sorts of cathartic movements. At one stage I was screaming in agony. The last night

in my body (where is that person?) each time I am hit I feel as if I could dissolve into thunderous laughter. Very difficult to remain silent under those circumstances. A sense of joy spreads over the group as we near the final night. I am still dreaming lots. I have kept a diary of dreams. Now at the end, I did not want to leave. I feel sad and touched. Grateful to be part of this process and for the presence of the Master. Tears come.
of crying I felt Osho's presence very strongly. So much love and so many tears. That's the hardest for me, to accept love and bemg loved. I have so much resistance.

fter the laughing. Waiting for the slide and merge, s we watch the well wash over. It's hard to conceive of how it w ill w or k in the tears, and yet I trust that it will come. The laughter has brought a SOft', and a joy, and a restfulness. How will I be with the tears? It's ironic, I cried at work the day before we started, and that's something I don't like doing. Then on Friday Pramada says, "You are not allowed to cry all this week", I thought that's so unfair, that's so hard, And yet the laughter has come quite easily. Rambunctiously, loosely and gently. Drops on my wi ndscreen. As I drive home from the first night of crying the sky comes with me and
gently weeps. The journey
has begun.
To see the changes in people's faces is exquisite. From that first night when we walked in carrying the creases of pain and fear. To the softness that emerged, even after only one day of laughing. And in the crying that softness remained. The pain was allowed to live in a gentle space.
Out of the emptiness springs the well of creativity. On the second day of crying I went deep. So deep. It was intensely hurtful and I was hugely scared. I got home lost in the hugeness of my fear. I tried calling for help but the number was engaged. And so I had to wait

ri
and let it succumb to slumber, I awoke and still the tears trickled and traversed, gently li l t i n g ac r oss the limbo. So clearly they fell, and yet so constrained I felt. Sitting in the silence not much to say really. )us( you know! - silence. Hmm. That's all. Sometimes the silence is deep and sprmgy, soft. Sometimes it is listening to everything, spending every minute.
And sometimes it is a Stfuggle
in my body,
always wanting to move, again. But always it is a surprise, it is early, when the bell rings or the music starts. Even in the struggle when I' ve said, "Enough already!" - when the bell comes I will muse gently, "Oh, so soon'?" In all the stages the time has passed. So obviously it is not about time. It is somehow about the process. And yet v hen I mention it to friends in the street the response always comes, "What a commitment, 3 hours! My God!" The time doesn't matter. It's like in acting when people say, "How do you remember all those lines? That must be hard." But in the end that's the easy part. It's bringing it to life that is the jOQ and the challenge. Maybe that's what the Mystic Rose is about? Bringing it to life ... whatever "it" is.
