FIFTEENTH ANNUAL
CALENDAR OF FUNDRAISERS Every year, Santa Barbara’s nonprofit community produces a spectacular lineup of fundraisers, galas, and special events. From fun-runs and bake sales to glamorous galas, Santa Barbara’s nonprofits make it possible for all of us to give back to our community in enjoyable and creative ways. We at the Independent continue to support and applaud the organizations whose yearlong altruism improves the lives and welfare of many in our community. In this section you will find a listing of many nonprofit events held throughout the year. Whether you make it to these nonprofit events or not, you can read about them each week in our Society Matters column, in print in the Real Estate section and online at independent.com/society.
OUR COMMUNITY HAS FACED A TOUGH COUPLE OF MONTHS WITH THE THOMAS FIRE AND NOW THE MUDSLIDES IN MONTECITO. The following fundraisers were compiled before the end of 2017 and do not include any events scheduled due to these disasters. If you are planning a fundraising event please add to our calendar at indepedent.com/eventsubmit or check independent.com/events for our full calendar of events.
