Santa Cecilia Orchestra

Santa Cecilia Orchestra believes music is for everyone! By offering full Orchestra Concerts, Chamber Concerts and our nationally acclaimed "Discovering Music Program" to Los Angeles we are fulfilling our mission. Founded in 1992 our mission is “through live performances and stimulating music education programs, to share the beauty and inspiration of classical music with Southern California audiences, giving special focus to Latino communities that are underserved and underrepresented by the arts.” We are now entering our 23nd season. Through our educational and outreach program "Discovering Music" we will reach thousands of students and their families this year. Our Conductor and Music Director is Sonia Marie De León de Vega, who as a Latina, was one of the first woman conductors when it was unheard of to have a female conductor.
