ARTsmart’s annual Edible Art Tour takes place Friday and Saturday evenings. Everything you need to know about this fabulous event is here in your hands, in a special section inside Santa Fean NOW. By supporting the Edible Art Tour, you will be helping provide arts education for hundreds of Northern New Mexico schoolchildren who might not otherwise have this opportunity. As we all know, arts education is vital for a young growing spirit, with positive ramifications that can last for the rest of a student’s life. We throw around terms like “life-changing,” and arts education is certainly life-changing. While you’re helping these kids, you will be having a terrific time. With your ticket, you’ll be able to visit dozens of galleries where you will be treated to fabulous bites from Santa Fe’s finest dining establishments. This event is a combination of great food and great art, which together equals plenty of fun. The weather is predicted to be perfect for a late spring stroll through downtown Santa Fe Friday from 5–8 pm and on up to Canyon Road on Saturday evening. Look through the calendar in this issue—and our complete listings online—as there’s lots going on around town, but certainly the Edible Art Tour is not to be missed.
