A Special Opportunity - Summer Art Workshops Presented by the School of Art and Design at Santa Fe Community College August 1-12, 2011
Featured Artist: Alan May Much of what I love about printmaking is the enforced meditation. Each step of the process allows you to stop and think. Is this what I really want to say? And what techniques will clarify my message? Printmaking promotes thoughtful traveling through the process, with its gradual building from plate to final expression - the print. I produce prints, drawings, and paintings using a variety of techniques, many of which I have developed. In addition to exhibited works, I create artwork on commission for specific sites in keeping with a client’s needs and tastes. My works are in private and corporate collections in the United States, Europe, Peru, and Japan. I teach printmaking in the San Francisco Bay Area and abroad.
Consider including these inspiring workshops in your summer plans: Intensive Monotype Workshop August 8-12 & A Safer, Greener Etching Technique Workshop August 1-3
