To continue to form and maintain a society concious of its human rights. This will be done by activities viz. Legal literacy awarness, medical reliefs, Lok Adalats, Janta Darbar and with the support of National Legal Service Authority, Administration and with the support of many National and International committees, councils, UNO, NALSA, NGOs, social workers, Central and State governments, NRI etc.
Philosophy: "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (The whole world is one family)” All human beings are equal and born free. The only permissible discrimination amongst the people of the world is for geographical identification only. Human Rights are yardsticks against which people measures their Governments’ and Public Officials’ conduct and through which the global community as a whole ought to measure its progress. No nation can move along the true democratic way of life without the real democracy. Without true democracy, political democracy cannot lasts unless there lies on the base of it, a social democracy. UHRF helps those who helps themselves. In this period of globalisation, intellectual people have a duty to help and save those below poverty line. Slum dwellers, illiterates and poors helpless people have been cut-off from the main stream of their national and international bodies.

Human Rights - An Overview Human rights are rights, which inherits in every human being – man, woman or child from birth and which he or she is entitled to enjoy in every society. These rights recognize the essential worth of a human being and acknowledge the basic equality and dignity inherent in all human beings irrespective of race, color, sex, religion or economic levels of living. These have existed in some form in all cultures and have been enjoyed by the people everywhere with varying degrees of emphasis. While this is a historical fact, it is also a part of our experience that powerful forces within the human race, at both the national and the international levels, have been conspiring to condemn millions of men, women and children in all regions of the world to a state of misery, deprivation and continuing exploitation, thereby violating their Human Rights. Human rights are similar to fundamental rights or moral principles that provide certain standards of human behavior defended by national and international Human rights law. The law of human rights has been highly influential within international human rights agency (the part of UNO), global and regional institutions. Under the human rights violation against individual, everyone is protected by the law. Government initiatives, including police reform and improved access to health care and education, languish due to poor implementation. Many women, children, Dalits, tribal communities, religious minorities, people with disabilities, and sexual and gender minorities remain marginalized and continue to suffer discrimination because of government failure to train public officials in stopping discriminatory behavior. Human rights are based on the law of respect for every citizen. Their fundamental theory is that each individual is a moral and rational being who deserves to be treated with self-respect. They are called human rights because they are universal. Whereas nations or specialized groups enjoy specific rights that apply only to them, human rights are the rights to which everyone is entitled—no matter who they are or where they live—simply because they are alive. But there is nothing to same; a large number of men, women and children are facing the violation against humanity across the globe. These violations include bonded labour, child abuses, sexual harassment, slavery, fake encounter, human trafficking and many more.

If we go through a detailed study of human civilization globally, we can see a larger number of wars and unrests, all around, but somewhere in every heart, the yearning for peace and security was deeply prevalent, which even stays alive today. As the world is still no free of the troubles it facing from every corner, rather the level of political, social and economic disturbances between countries have only increased. Why we have not been able to acquire complete peace in so many decades, is because, even if some resolutions have been taken or some peace treaties have been signed between countries, there have been some other issues that have engulfed so many other nations whether big or small. Peace in the minds, unity in the souls and kindness in humanity has to be restored, has been Motto Preached and Practiced by Mr Kumar.

Terrorism Terrorism has been practiced by a broad array of political organizations worldwide. It has been practiced by both right-wing and left-wing political parties, nationalistic & religious groups, revolutionaries, and ruling governments. The symbolism of terrorism can exploit human fear to help achieve their unlawful goals. The concept of terrorism may be controversial as it is often used by state authorities to delegitimize political or other opponents, and potentially legitimize the state's own use of armed force against opponents. Terrorism in India begins after it got independence in 1947. Some of the Indian states like Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, all the North East Indian states are worst affected by terrorism. The Naxlite activities in Andhra Pradesh, Odisa, Bihar, West Bengal, Chattisgarh & Jharkhand has made the life of people insecure and unstable. The current scenario of terrorism is that growing and is expanding unabated.
Environmental Destruction In recent years the relationship between human rights and environmental issues have become issues of vigorous debate. The link between the two emphasizes that a decent physical environment is a precondition for living a life of dignity and worth. More concretely, a decent physical environment has to do with protection from noise nuisance, air and water pollution, and dumping of toxic substances. Environmental degradation and human rights were first placed on the international agenda in 1972, at the UN Conference on the Human Environment. Principle 1 of the 'Stockholm Declaration on the Human Environment' establishes a foundation for linking human rights and environmental protection, declaring that man has a 'fundamental right to freedom, equality and adequate conditions of life.
Sexual Harassment Sexual harassment has been a pervasive global problem for women throughout history. Women around the world are beginning to tell their stories and expose the pervasiveness of sexual harassment in their societies. Sexual harassment affects women's mental and physical health as well as their social and economic status. The level of tolerance for sexual harassment varies from culture to culture. In fact, sexual harassment psychologically hurts the women involved and the work atmosphere. The need of hour is to provide proper legal consultancy to the victims though national women's organizations, specialized employee interest groups, law schools, legal aid community services etc.

Communal Violence Communal violence refers to a situation where violence is perpetrated across ethnic lines, and victims are chosen based upon ethnic group membership. The worst affected area of communal violence is South Asia where conflict between ethnic communities results in massacres. Its an mutual aggression, in which members of all involved ethnic groups both perpetrate violence and serve as its victims. Countries worldwide, particularly India is struggling with violence between religious communities for decades. The Religious violence includes acts of violence by followers of one religious group against followers and institutions of another religious group, often in the form of rioting. Despite the secular and religiously tolerant constitution of India, broad religious representation in various aspects of society including the government, is required.
Fake Encounters & Police Atrocities In fake or custodial encounters, the police or armed forces kill the suspected person on the basis of his/her criminal activities, when the person is either in custody or are unarmed, and claims to have shot them in self-defence. These types of fake encounters can not be justified as authorized by a court or by the law. UHRF is very much concerned and disturbed by the diabolical recurrence of police torture resulting in a terrible scare in the minds of common citizens that their lives and liberty are under a new peril when the guardians of the law gore human rights to death. The vulnerability of human rights assumes a traumatic, torture some poignancy (when) the violent violation is perpetrated by the police arm of the State whose function is to protect the citizen and not to commit gruesome offences against them. Police lock-up if reports in newspapers have a streak of credence, are becoming more and more awesome cells. This development is disastrous to our human rights awareness and humanist constitutional order.
Industrial Dispute & Labour Unrest The Industrial Dispute is unrest in labour which expreses itself in mnay ways and forms. The most striking feature of the labour unrest is strike or stopage of work. As a result of strike, the factories are closed down and this proves harmful both to employees and the employers. Subsequently, it leads to the lockout and a series of conflict and tension. The causes of Industrial Disputes is lower wages, rising prices, unsatisfactory work conditions, retrenchment etc. The workers' humiliation and exploitation is required to be contained, their grievances should appropriately be redressed, harmonious relations between the employee and employer be ensured. The labour laws in India are not labour friendly and drastic changes are required to re-enacted or modified them.

Consumer Rights Consumer rights and protection law provides the way to people to fight back against corrupt business practices. Consumer laws are constituted to hold sellers of products and services responsible when they want to make profit by selling the products to consumers without right information or bargaining power. Though there are several laws addressed to consumer rights but they are unfair. Consumer rights laws are needed to be enforced effectively by government agencies, parliament, attorneys general, and through the people and class action complaints filed by victims.
Child Abuse Children are the future of any country and they have some fundamental rights according to constitution and law of International Human Rights. But a large number of children in developing nations are facing troubles against education, violence, labour bond, punished by cruel inhumane methods, pornography and some other types of child related issues. Millions of children under 18 have been affected by inhuman activities and violence at school, institutions and at homes. The cases of child abuses have been increasing in the last few years. The UHRF is committed to help the associations of the world to prevent any type of inhuman activities against children and keep them safe.
Human Trafficking Trafficking in persons is a serious crime and a grave violation of human rights. Every year, thousands of men, women and children fall into the hands of traffickers, in their own countries and abroad. Almost every country in the world is affected by trafficking, whether as a country of origin, transit or destination for victims. It refers to the sale of children and adults for commercial sexual activities or bonded labour. This usually refers to the modern-day slavery and human trafficking is also fastest growing crime industry across the world. The 60 percent of all victims are girls or women who slave for enforced sexual activities. The United Nations General Assembly has insisted to prevent, suppress and punish Trafficking In Persons, especially women and children marked a significant milestone in international efforts to stop the trade in people.

Refugee Laws & Rights of Asylum Refugee law is the branch of international law which deals with the rights and protection of refugees. It is related to, but distinct from, international human rights law and international humanitarian law, which deal respectively with human rights in general, and the conduct of war in particular. Refugees have been victims of persecution in their country of origin. Internally displaced persons (IDPs), on the other hand, have not crossed an international frontier, but have, for whatever reason, also fled their homes. Refugee law and international human rights law are closely intertwined; refugees are fleeing governments that are either unable or unwilling to protect their basic human rights. Despite the fact that India is a host to diverse groups of refugees, it has no specific laws or cohesive policy for refugees. With a mission to assist asylum seekers, refugees and other displaced populations in realizing their basic human rights and accessing the justice system.
Bonded Labour Though the bondage labour in India was legally abolished in 1976 but it remains prevalent, with weak enforcement of the law by governments. Bonded labour involves the exploitive interlinking of credit and labor agreements that devolve into slave-like exploitation due to severe power imbalances between the lender and the borrower. It is estimated that there are still 40 million 'bonded labourers' in India. Dalits comprise the majority of agricultural, bonded and child labourers, with many surviving on less than USD 1 a day. In September 2011, the NHRC reported 1,300 cases of human rights violations pertaining to bonded labour. The practice exists in multiple non-agricultural industries, such as the Devadasi practice of bonded sex workers, and in small-scale industries like firecrackers, textiles, leather goods manufacturing, brick and tile kilns, and granite extraction industries.
Dowry Dowry-related issues in India are a serious problem that affects the lives of women and girls. Dowry is a response to explicit or implicit demands or expectations of the groom or his family from the family of girls. The United Nations Division for the Advancement of Women defines dowry-related violence or harassment as “an act of violence or harassment. The violence and deaths associated with dowry demands can constitute domestic violence which include physical, emotional, and economic violence.
