Dr. Bagla is a senior citizen and is actively engaged in doing extensive research in the field of Fire Safety & Radiation Safety and spreading the philosophy of 'Wellness' all across the Country. He is founder of “Global Wellness Foundation” and is the Chairman of a Consortium of social organizations namely United Human Rights Foundation Society, United Human Rights Federation, United Cause for Governance Council and Global Wellness Foundation. Inspired with the philosophy of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' which means 'the whole world is one family', Dr. Bagla, has been concerned to promote Human Welfare and is committed to serve the society. Since 2014, United Human Rights Federation under the leadership of Dr. Bagla has been advocating the concerns related to Fire Safety and is sensitizing authorities and public to instill fire safety measures at various residential and commercial areas throughout the country. Dr. Bagla is designated as President of ‘United World Diabetes federation’ which has a mission to eradicate and control the diabetes in India and all over the world. United World Diabetes Federation is aimed to influence the policies, increase public awareness, and encourage health improvement with the promotion and exchange of high quality information via their magazine ‘Diabetes Free Life’. Amongst many other life philosophies, one of the guiding principles which has strongly influenced the life journey of Dr. Bagla is “only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile, service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth”. Consequently, Dr. Bagla made a determination to participate in the society and contribute to the maximum with the best of their skills for the welfare of human beings.
Early Life and Education Born on July 5, 1957 within the territory of Kolkata, Dr. Santosh Kumar Bagla belongs to a respected Marwari Indian business family of Kolkata having roots in Tamkor (Rajasthan). His family is in trade and business since 1920 in the name of M/s. Harakh Chand Baijnath, further expanded as M/s Lachhmi Narain Mahavir Prasad and Bagla Udyog. 2
Dr. Bagla's career started with his involvement in family business in 1975 with a greater dimension, wider vision and newer diversifications. Later, Dr. Bagla formed IONIC GROUP under his leadership. The group is spread in multiple directions with the approach of 'Empowering the People' and 'Wellness Orientation'. Dr. Bagla possesses deep business acumen with very clear vision and highly focused approach towards growth. His philosophy of business is based on wellness. Dr. Bagla did a sizeable study on the effects and use of MSM, an organic sulfur compound which is found naturally in humans and animals. He believes in creating a drugless system of healing by spreading the message of wellness through Naturopathy. Not only it is affordable, it is also a well-tested supplement with absolutely no side-effects.
Academic Career Dr. Bagla has completed his Graduation in Commerce from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. He is also Bachelor in Law from JJT University, Rajasthan and has been awarded an honorary degree in Business Management by the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. Thereafter, the curiosity has made him to obtain Masters of Advocacy from Los Angeles Institute, USA. He is also pursuing Ph. D in Biological effects of RF Radiation on Mankind from JJT University, Rajasthan, India.
Social Commitment Dr. Bagla holds high humanitarian values and making contribution towards the society via his projects into radiation hazards and peace initiatives. He has done extensive research in the field of radiation and its ill effects on human bodies and has made continuous efforts to minimize the hazards of radiation effects. Dr. Bagla has expressed his concern on the threats resulting from unhindered mobile radiation. That our environment should be radiation-free was always Dr. Bagla's belief. He always stresses the importance of our country's need for sustainable development. Because of his dedicated efforts and contribution towards society, He has also been honored with the 'Honorary Doctorate Degree' in Wellness Studies by Los Angeles Institute, USA and in Legal Consultancy by Miami Institute (MLCI), USA.

Holding in mind a cherished dream to create a fearless society, Dr. Bagla done an intensive investigations and study on terrorism to unveil the facts about a terrorist psychology. After an extensive examination, Dr. Bagla realised that it is only through the education, a terrorist mind can be brought back towards a peaceful society. A detailed report 'Terrorism Reasons and Solutions' was also published in this regard. 3

The man and his vision: It is not often that humble efforts with unbounded sincerity and dynamic approach come in a singular concept. And to be the progenitor of such efforts is too momentous to be put in words. Dr. Bagla, with his intense flair for the global causes, presents such an aura of dynamism and creativity that cannot be judged easily. He envisages an age of true well-being and world peace where the realization of mankind's fullest potential is the driving force. Through his association with the variety of groups that seek to work towards the common causes of global peace and prosperity, he has taken up highly commendable projects of huge implications and through his selfless work, has inspired many souls. Mr. Claes Nobel, the scion of the illustrious Nobel family of Sweden and the worldwide defender of many notable causes in his visit to India in 2008 had referred to Dr. Bagla as “Peace Ambassador” and had spoken at length about the latter's innovative and noteworthy ideas. Mr. Nobel visited India from 5th to 9th February, 2008 and was accompanied by Dr. Alridge A. Valliant and his wife Dr. Suad Kanderian Vaillant. On 5th of February, in the company of his gracious guests, he launched two publications that deal with the threats of exposure to unhindered radiation and protection and safeguarding human rights, by the respective names - “Radiation Today” and Maanvita”.

Maanvita Dr. Bagla was involved in the publication of Maanvita, a bimonthly magazine which aims to unearth the injustices and violation of human rights occurred across the country. The magazine stresses the importance of establishing good governance for completely eradicating the corruption, terrorism, and child labor.
