To visit the Eastern Townships without sampling local eats is to miss out on one of the region’s most delicious—literally!—attributes. With a smattering of renowned restaurants, 26 microbreweries, 15 cheese makers, picturesque vineyards, cute coffee shops, farmer’s markets and other gourmet attractions, it’s safe to say that ours is one of the most delicious regions in Quebec.

In the following pages, we’ll highlight all the different ways to taste the Townships: From dining at an iconic eatery and visiting agricultural installations to sipping wine at a vineyard and shopping the farmer’s market. The common denominator? Passionate folks honing their expertise to handcraft the fresh, tasty and unique products that make our region one your palate won’t soon forget.

Our Microbreweries

Into craft beer? There are some 26 (!) microbreweries in the Townships. Just like the passionate entrepreneurs at the helm of each one, they all have distinct personalities that are equal parts unique and charming.

Brasseurs des Cantons

In 2017, our microbreweries gathered under the Brasseurs des Cantons banner, creating a craft beer route that offers visitors and locals an easy and fun way to discover the region’s varied offering.

To get an authentic feel for real life in the Townships, visit one of 16 Cafés de village restaurants, bistros and cafés scattered throughout the region. They may be locals-only spots but they’re more than happy to break bread with visitors, too!
