PROFILE My interest for spaces & buildings came about as young as at the age of 8, when my aunt back then was a building officer and I have always accompanied her in the office, she would tell through plans and how the small details in her plans could tell large stories, especially back then when we participated in neighbourhood shopping centres events and games planning up till I was about 12 years old. Through that, I really enjoyed seeing how spaces are planned, particularly being sensible and sensitive when it comes to designing a space. It's really more than just putting in furniture merely just for aesthetics, but it's about the user's experience, ergonomics and being able to do all that is something that fueled my passion even further.¬

Slam! sound of the long plank was translated as tensed, terrified & frantic that Ofelia felt when being chased by The Pale Man. The lever system acts as a the Magic Chalk, that leads to the steps being revealed and an escape route was formed. The assymetrical steps represents The Protagonist’s frantic motion in balancing onto the chair whilst stretching to draw an escape door.

THE SHOPHOUSE PROJECT:AMAITII SPA SOFTWARE USED: AUTOCAD PHOTOSHOP 3DS MAX
LOCATION 73 SERANGOON RD 217978
YEAR 02
ACADEMIC DIPLOMA
Amaitii translates as tranquility & therapeutic , a self-healing practice that Indians embrace as part of their culture. Linear elements are introduced throughout the space to give an illusion of elongated and soothing ambience that takes away the hustle and bustle of the streets, providing the spa an overall open concept that ties seamlessly with another space. Warm toned hues, materials and lightings are used to embrace the tranquility & therapeutic-ness of the shophouse.

[ SELECTED SHOWCASE ] 3-month Internship Programme with Hirsch Bedner Associates, definitely was an eye-opening experience as I get to touch myriad of overseas hospitality projects that varies from hotels to cafes & serviced suites. I embarked on different stages of projects from schematic to tender stage, with hands on drafting layouts, churning administrative works such as binding for tender to be sent overseas and also building up 3D model for visualization.

DURATION: 16th MAR - 6th APR 2020 SYNOPSIS This hospitality project is at it’s Phase I stage where I was tasked to study the site area and look through their presentation deck to understand the flow and direction of the project.
In this project, I did a few case studies, came up with a few layout options for twin room and design proposal, alongside building up a part of the 17 - storey 3D model (schematic stage) which includes both interior and exterior (partly of the 630 guestsrooms), Lift lobby, lobby lounge and reception.
