SELF REGULATIONG CLIMATIZING CONTROL
A parametric woven sculpture expands and contracts, reacting to control temperature, air flow, and minor light control. The tower’s irrigation system virtually monitors and maintains temperature, serving as part of the gray water cycle system.

Membrane skins parallel neural synapse pathways as they act and react to stimuli. Responding to users inside each space, membrane skins move based on each user’s preference for visibility and air flow, and are also designed to function for the area’s specialized programatic needs. They accomodate both open and closed loop systems.

PUBLIC AWARENESS & EXPERIENTIAL EXPOSURE USER EXPERIENCE: LEARNING THROUGH EXPLORATION
Activities are vividly entertaining, personalized, and educational, showing the power of brain science on a personal level to spread excitement for the future of biotechnology. Immersed in brain science in subject and function, users participate in personalzied nerual activities with real time feedback. In the nap lab, users experience virtual reality of their dream worlds.

PROGRAM A younger generation of people has inhabited New York City’s Lower East Side. The neighborhood is recognized for its creative capital and cultural diversity among residents, but is currently lacking in health, environment, and housing quality. Providing a comprehensive healthcare experience reflective of the vitality and energy present in today’s youth combined with advanced technology, a General Practitioner’s office will serve the basic needs of the community’s developing population, and contribute to the revitalization of the neighborhood.
General Practitioner’s Medical Office
SCHEMATICS Taking inspiration from a General Practitioner’s focus, the forms of the interior architecture develop from the human body. The spinal skeletal system, circulation system, and DNA contribute to development of design. The core houses reception, nurse station, and lab, and the perimeter houses exam areas, doctors offices, and operations. Central For m Development: Vertebrae Shaping

Interior Shell Development: Simplified Vertebrae
PERIMETER SHELL:
WAITING AREA, DR. OFFICE, EXAM ROOM The perimeter shell is formed mimicking the relationship of the rib cage to the spine. Two exam rooms, two doctors offices, administration, and the waiting room are located in this area. This is offset from the central core, where operations are directed.
PROGRAM On the shore of Northern California along the rugged Mendocino coast, the site for this 2,000+ square foot single family vacation house was chosen for its topography and orientation. A three hour drive to San Francisco, the location is nestled between Noyo bay, Jackson State Forest, and MacKerricer State Park in Fort Bragg, CA. The structure hugs the edge of a cliff; the entrance nestled by a line of trees, and then the exterior view opens to a sweeping panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and sandy beach shore.
Pacific Coast Family Vacation House
SCHEMATICS The traditional form of a stacked duplex is broken and staggered; the upper level is continuous with the earth, but the lower level is pushed forward as it follows the bluff’s gradation. An exterior walkway at multiple heights snakes around these two volumes, featuring a series of interconnected outdoor living spaces including a deck, a variety of pools, and a water slide.
UPPER LEVEL he upper volume is comprised of the private sector, at grade. It features three bedrooms with views with floor to ceiling views of the water, and two bathrooms. The master wing is complete with an ensuite and private pool, which is part of the The children’s wing features a shared bathroom and outdoor space.
LOWER LEVEL The lower volume is the public sector, closer to the shore. Accessed by a staircase from the grade level, immediate vista is a fireplace in front of sweeping ocean views. Living and Kitchen are open to one another, with the Mobius waterway running beneath the floor leading to the Dining area.
