the body shop. endicott college was chosen to participate in the global shop student design challenge in 2018. we partnered with pave and scube as well as the body shop to design a new fixture for cashwrap. the goal was to create a cashwrap which held more product in a better form of organization than what the store currently had implemented. our method was to create a stationary fixture with slats, and to design different pieces to function with the slats. this way, the cashwrap could be customized for different product holding needs. additionally, we designed a moveable gondola with the same slat system, to be put out during busy times of the year.

textile design.
boundless. the boundless textile series was designed in adobe illustrator with the concept of continuity. the goal was to create a seamless textile repeat which showcased the elements and principles of balance, form, and movement. varied colorways provide the pattern with different emotions, pulling on information from color theory and nature. blue is representative of the sky and the ocean. yellow is representative of the sun, and purple represents the wind or the rain.

custom builds.
light strainer. this custom light strainer was built as an exercise to understand contruction in lighting elements. a large hole was drilled into the base of a brass colander to allow for the light kit to be threaded through. this fixture features a custom silver bowl bulb. the function of a silver bowl bulb is to direct light upwards, and is most often used in pendant fixtures. the successful function of this bulb can be seen through the arc shadow cast below the fixture, and the direction of the light upwards to create shadows on the ceiling.
