NEW WORKS Traver Gallery is pleased to present Dale Chihuly’s New Works – an exhibition of the modern and entirely new Silvered Blanket Cylinders, Clear Soft Cylinders and White Works. These joyful, light-filled, and sophisticated new works are truly masterful in their design and execution: light lingers in the thick clear walls of the white cylinders, illuminating the delicate, woven designs that decorate the surface; clear glass forms suspend brightly hued patterns, inspiring a sense of spaciousness; and reflective, silvered interiors undulate with light and shadow, contrasting warmly with the stark modernity of the opaque white and primary colored exteriors. Set aside your expectations – this series of breathtaking new sculptures by the world’s most successful glass and multi-media artist demonstrates the highest level of understanding of glass as an artistic medium.
