Here is an example of a goal transformed into a SMART goal.
This year, focus on making small, healthy changes to your current lifestyle. Over time, these small changes can have large, beneficial, impacts on your overall health.

Once you have decided that you are ready to make a healthy lifestyle change, use the SMART principle to help you set an achievable goal. Be SMART. Make sure your goals are: Specific: Give the who, what, when, where and how. Measurable: Establish criteria to help measure your goal. If you can’t measure it, you won’t know if you achieved it.
SMART Goal: Starting January 1, 2012, I will participate in two outdoor activities with my family per week by January 30, 2012.
