Chose a color pallet.

It doesn’t need to be all black. Stick with neutrals and add a color, such as blue, for a pop. By using neutrals you can mix and match outfits so you can wear pieces multiple times over the course of the trip. Neutrals also make more outfit choices possible because everything matches.

Think Feet.

You may want to bring 5 pairs of heels, but are you even going to need one? Think how much you will be walking around and that not every country has paved roads. All the shoes shown here are cute and functional.

Prevent Wrinkles. Nothing is more unfortunate than packing clothes, getting to your destination, and then having wrinkles. To prevent this try packing your clothes by rolling them. If rolled correctly, this is actually a space saver too. Also, try rolling clothes in tissue paper. This helps to prevent wrinkles from setting in.

Accessorize.

When traveling you might run into the problem of wearing the same clothes. A new hat or necklace could give a whole new vibe to a reused outfit. Look below at how using any of the accessories could give the dress differentiations in the style and wearability.

Go Far, Go New, Go Now:

The Wisdom of a College Travel Junkie By: Sarah Zinnel As a college student, I understand how little money is left after bills are paid, food is bought, rent is turned in, and that isn’t even touching on extras like eating out so you don’t have to do dishes. Honestly, the thought of having money to travel for most students is just a nice thought that flitters through now and again when they are procrastinating studying for a test or are dreaming about what lies ahead in the future. Most students generally don’t consider going to a foreign country. According to NAFSA only about 283,332 U.S. students studied abroad in the 2011-2012 academic year. However, after working in the study abroad at the University of Iowa I want to spread a message:

Go FAR, GO NEW, GO NOW- It’s possible!

Now for those of you still reading this article, I want you to know that no I am not crazy and no I am not telling you that it will free. What I am saying is that thanks to globalization and growing necessity of experience with foreign cultures, colleges and college-based organizations want students to spend time learning about foreign nations, learning new languages, and learning the business ettiquette of non-U.S. locations. They are actually working with students to make it possible. With the right amount of will, going abroad is not just a possibility it is happening. In regards to why my credibility in this matter is even relevant I have been able to visit over seven countries while paying minimal amounts. Almost every time I traveled, I had my flight and housing covered. Better yet, I was able to pay for everything out of pocket with a side job I picked up during college. How did I manage this feat? I looked for opportunities. Not just through the study abroad office on the University of Northern Iowa Campus where I attended school. I looked further. I first started traveling through Camp Adventure. Camp Adventure is a youth programs centered organization that works with U.S. military bases across the globe to provide Camp Counselors and Lifeguards for the children of those in the service. I entered the program utilizing my lifeguarding skills, and was able to be stationed in Iwakuni, Japan and Bomberg, Germany with my flight paid for, my housing arranged, and a stipend to spend while abroad. My experience in this program can be described as nothing less than fantastic. I was able to not only help our country in my own way, but I was working during the weekdays and traveling on the weekends. I knew that I wasn’t breaking the bank and yet here I was in a foreign country. I climbed Mt. Fuji in Tokyo, Japan. I stood on both sides of the Berlin Wall in Germany, I prayed in temples, explored catacombs, ate too much, slept too little, and make life-long friends. Even trudging from sheer exhaustion after
