EMPOWER HOUR Empower Hour Select is delighted to share a Jerry Sergeant exclusive! Founder and Facilitator of Star Magic Healing, Jerry offers Empower Hour readers insight into the new crystal generation since 2006!
Empowerment for Parents Right now on Earth many parents are experiencing huge shifts in their awareness. Many are realising their children have unique talents and gifts and whilst these elements are incredible it can cause turbulent frequencies within the family dynamic, as well as at school and other social environments where other parents and teachers may not be so spiritually aware. The children that have been born into our world since 2004 have been different and more recently since 2007/8 onwards the entire energetic structure of these young beings are on a different level.
The label Crystal Children has been given to them as humanity transitions from carbon based to crystalline based in structure, this label really fits with the entire human race and not just the children. After all, we are going through this ascension process and shifting our frequency whilst recalibrating our atomic structure to shift into this new and exciting new human paradigm. Whilst the label Crystal Children is just that, a label! Personally, I don’t like to label anything. Even calling us human is somewhat limiting as we hold a certain idea or model that a human being should fit into. As we go deeper and deeper into our own cosmic hearts and discover our true and inherent nature and unleash abilities in this physical world that we’re quantum, which for a long period of time was open only to the dedicated Shaman or Tibetan Monk that meditated for 6 hours a day! Times are changing and we are waking up to abilities such as telekinesis, bilocation and the ability to heal effectively at distance. These young Star Seeds that are gracing us with their earthly presence know these abilities which are second nature. They are deeply connected to the stars and in synchronization with the beat of Mother Earths heart. They instinctively know how to harness the electromagnetic and magnetic energies of these polar opposites, bringing the divine masculine and divine feminine into perfect equilibrium. These children have their auras on the inside of their bodies, not the outside like most adults. They don’t have the same chakra system. To put in frankly, adults don’t have a chakra system either. Again, the word chakra is a label given to portals of light or information swirling in our etheric bodies, which ultimately affect us on a physical level. These portals of information do not exist in a Crystal Child in the same way as they do in an adult. All these children know is love, kindness, compassion and a deep inner knowing that they are at one with their environment. These children cannot be manipulated due to their inner aura structure. Therefore, how you handle these beautiful souls can be a challenge, even for the aware adult, deep into their spiritual journey.

School and other social environments can be difficult for these children as other unaware parents may see them as strange and pull their own kids away from them. These children are not strange, they are simply open, they know what they want and that is simply to flow. They know that they want to eat high vibrational foods and be kind to others. These kids always speak their truth and this isn’t easy in all situations. If they don’t like the way another child treats them they will say so. When a school teacher asks them to do a task they don’t agree with they will say no. The same goes with their own parents. For the older generation a child saying no is not acceptable. I know my parents don’t like it when my children say no to them. I took my children out of school and they are home schooled because the teachers just wanted to punish them for having their own opinion. School can be great for kids interacting with each other, but most mainstreams schools don’t offer much else. Maybe character building to prepare them for the system, to be good little drones! These incredible new children do not like rules and regulations and prefer flow. Whilst this is great it’s also important to encourage, not force but encourage a little structure, especially if the kids are home schooled.

My advice to any parent is to treat your child like a flower. Water, them, love them unconditionally and allow them to be free to explore this world. Let them grow and flourish. Guide them but never force them. I know it’s tough to stand back and allow but sometimes it’s the healthiest way. Encourage your children to be in nature and not on the phone or computer. Give them Mother Nature to eat and to nourish their bodies. Sometimes these young Star Seeds get very upset. Just love them. They can get very frustrated at life and it can lead to anger. Don’t get angry yourself, simply love them fiercely as they encounter different situations. Unconditional love is the perfect remedy. They will challenge you and test you. Smile and say I love you. Remember, you signed up for this mission. You chose to be here, as did they. Never forget your galactic connection. You and your children came from the stars and incarnated into these earthly vessels, to share in this human experience. Have fun, laugh, dance, play and allow your child to reconnect you with your inner child. You are amazing, remember this. Looking for higher guidance in motherhood, Julianna Jay from Signposts for the Soul, gives us some gentle guidance on the ‘Gift of Motherhood’ Mother Mary brings words to encourage mothers of all ages in the gift of her love and the angels! The gift of motherhood is one you have cherished deeply. It brought you some of your most precious moments. Moments that were full of love and heart-centred. You got to instil solid values in young ones. You got to nurture them and their friends and provide them with the fruits of life’s graces and wisdom. You got to teach them kindness, gentleness, warmth, and humility. Some of the most wonderful gifts of spirit. The mother’s energy is like a ship in the night. It moves at haste and yet few see the magnificence of force that the ship sails in with. She does not look for earthly gratification for her work or superpowers. She had to learn these skills. Learn that self-preservation happens when we look at what we have and from within. Once we begin to acknowledge the magnitude of our own essence we can begin to expand, explore and co-create. She sees so many lost in a veil of tears and wishes to help them to dry their eyes. In truth she is all heart. We are so happy to get this opportunity to just say thank you for all the many miracles which may have gone unnoticed by the world. Be under no illusion, they have not gone unnoticed in the eyes of the Lord. We are fuelled by our gifts and talents, our soothing words or gentle care for each and every day. Just when you think you have given all you can, give a little more. This is something that we recognise as being selfless and connected and beautiful.
You cannot prevent the lessons or the pain coming to the door of another. You can’t conserve their energy or advise them on how it is best spent. Each man’s energy is his alone. You must just take the same approach you always took and learn, with them, how to fix the bruises and scars, and hold their hand when they need it held. Let them walk alone when they so wish. You came at it from a simple philosophy of ‘I don’t know it all and neither do they, but surely we will learn together’. Do not feel the need to mop up the mess as the lessons will not be availed of or learned from. Though they ask for your advice they often only wish to rant and vent their own feelings and kick them around as footballs in preparation for a game. They wish to do the kick around with you so that when the game comes they are stronger to take the blows that come. You are here to show them freedom of expression and for to allow their little hearts to shine. Thank you so much for just being you and allowing our presence to be felt in your life. We have never let you down and never will. Fly free, my friend. You can sail your magnificent ship in broad daylight as well as at night, so come out of the darkness and reach fearlessly into the light. We are by your side protecting your every move. VEGAN GODDESS Valerie Conway - “Good Food in a Fast Paced Life!” In today’s world, we are so busy going about our lives, taking care of family, work/ business, activities, social life etc. that often times good nourishment falls to the way side.
DID YOU KNOW?
We know we should be eating plenty of fresh organic fruit and vegetables, but all too often, we resort to heavily processed and packaged foods due to affordability and convenience.
Chickpeas boost digestion, protect against heart disease and cancer, stabalize blood sugar levels, aids weight loss and provides essential vitamins and minerals.
The last thing we want to face after a long day is prepping the vegetables for dinner, but there are ways to make it easier and dare I say it... Fun!
They are also a great source of plant based protein, along with fiber, iron, zinc, phosphorous, B vitamins, magnesium, potassium, selenium, vitamin K... the list goes on!
Planning ahead is always a good idea and helps to keep the grocery bills in check too. Be sure to stick to your plan. Designating a few hours once a week to cooking in bulk cuts out hassle. Depending on your children’s age, you could get them involved in the process by letting them wash, chop, stir etc. This will stand to them in later years and builds their confidence through responsibility, they may even learn the love of cooking while nourishing themselves! All this while you have fun together and bond! Why not involve them in the planning process too and have fun picking out recipes, and then going out to do the shopping together.
They are cheap and easy to use in cooking, whether you fancy whipping them up into a delicious hummus, roasting into a spicy snack, adding them to your favourite curry or mashing them like in the recipe here.
Something so hum drum could be a beautiful and special time, one to remember well into adulthood. You may notice that they become more open to tasting and enjoying new foods! While participating and helping. This involvement could well reduce the tantrums during a shopping spree, while they have a full on adventure finding the ingredients needed at the supermarket. To make things a little easier, I have created a simple, nutritious and protein packed Tuna-less Salad to get you started which is just as much fun to make as it is to eat. With growing concerns around the mercury levels in tuna fish, I have have replaced the tuna with the amazing chickpea. 4 | NEWSLETTER JUNE 2018
Chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans are one of the oldest consumed crops in the world. It is the second only to the soyabean as most popular legume and packs a punch on the nutrition scale.
You can buy them dried in bulk in Asian food stores to soak and cook at home or most shops sell them ready to eat in tins. Just be sure to rinse them well before eating to reduce the flatulence effect.
TUNA-LESS SALAD INGREDIENTS:
METHOD:
2 cans of chickpeas-drained & rinsed 1 red onion 1/2 red pepper 1 stick of celery 2 spring onions 6 pickled gherkins 2 tbsp capers 1 tbsp sunflower seeds 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar 1 tsp dried dill 1 tsp Dijon mustard Juice of 1 lemon Salt & pepper to taste
In a large bowl, mash the chickpeas roughly. Then finely dice all the vegetables. Stir in the diced vegetables, and remaining ingredients into the chickpeas until well combined and season to taste. This salad is delicious on its own, as a side, served in a toasted wholemeal pitta or piled onto a seeded bap with vegan mayonnaise. It’s also one to impress at the summer BBQ!

productive I became in every area of my life. Currently I run my own business and I am now a full time mum to Paddy 5, Saoirse 2 & Baby to Be in September. So, I’ve really had to learn how to manage my time and energy wisely in order to fit everything in. However a few key things that really kept me sane and balanced along the way were: Creating a child friendly business: I had always wanted to have my own business and travel the world, so before I had my first child I started the process of looking for a business opportunity that I could continue into motherhood. At the time I chose to become an independent consultant with doTERRA Essential Oils because their company completely aligned with everything I wanted in terms of health, education, mentoring, income level, flexibility and most importantly family focus. I found it completely complimented every area of my life, and allowed me to build a lot of my business (meetings, trainings, events, networking, mentoring) with Paddy and Saoirse right by my side. Socialising that includes my children: I find that I naturally gravitate towards mums with children the same age as my kids, so no matter what stage my kids are at, I have someone to socialise with for tea, lunch or dinner who is in the same boat as me in terms of pick up from school, play groups, naps, spare time etc. This keeps things simple and makes it so much easier to co-ordinate regular catch ups. Plus if you have to cancel or postpone because your day just isn’t going to plan they totally understand! Self Care: I am always on the go, so Self Care is an ABSOLUTE must for me or I wouldn’t survive the juggle. I always try to proactively book myself in for or swap regular holistic treatments - massage, bio energy, hidden mind corrective therapy, reflexology, aroma touch technique, acupuncture etc. This always helps me to rebalance before I get to the stage of burn out or at the first sign of fatigue. I also use my DoTERRA Essential oils on a daily basis for immune and emotional support. So I’m always diffusing or applying blends like on guard, motivation, balance and lavender to pick up
the mood or get on top of any possible health complaints at home before they turn into anything. Also I travel a lot with my kids and colds, flus, coughs or upset tummies are always a possibility especially on planes. So I have my specific essentials oils on hand before, during and after flights to make sure we are fully protected from anything airborn, tropical or ingested on our trip. Blogging on the go: I find that because I am on the go a lot, I often get a lot of inspiration when Im traveling or in the car. So instead of ’trying’ to blog, I just blog as I get inspired to do it, and as soon as I have a minute to spare, I pull up the car or when the kids are occupied or asleep, I’ll quickly write or record what I was thinking about. So in terms of time, it really doesn’t take up any of my time in terms of preparation. Again making it simple and sustainable for me to do. Simplifying Housework: I hate anything taking more time than it should take! So if I can simplify a process, especially housework I will do it. For example, I found if I wash my clothes, put them straight onto hangers and hang them straight on to a rail or on clothes line then there is no double handling, folding, or ironing needed for 99% of all clothes. As a mum clothes can be the biggest source of our work load, clutter and chaos! De-cluttering: I am constantly decluttering wardrobes, cupboards, containers, bags, fridge, freezer you name it. I try to keep as little as possible. I have to absolutely love something or use it regularly to keep it. I just find so much time is wasted cleaning, sorting and organising things
we never use otherwise. Plus when I have too many things, I find I can never find what I actually need when I need it. Or worse, I don’t see what I could use because it’s hidden among all the things I never use! Quality Nutrition: I absolutely cannot survive without good nutrition. I buy organic whenever possible and I am big on supplementation that comes as a whole food source. DōTERRA lifelong vitality supplements and juice plus are fantastic for this. I also stay away from most things processed and eat simple whole foods; meat, veg, rice, fruit, water while trying to avoid dairy, sugar and wheat because I know they lower my energy levels. Rest & Relaxation: When I relax, I relax. If I have downtime I like to do nothing. An ideal holiday for me is sunbathing and unwinding. If it’s during the day or evening it’s a 10 minute cup of tea in the quiet. If I’m on, I’m on. If I’m off, I’m off.
Easy maintenance is key. With clothes I buy basic, plain colour clothes that can be dressed up or dressed down with accessories or a nice jacket. Also I like to wear a lot of block colours because they are flattering whether you are pregnant, recovering from pregnancy or in good shape. I hate having clothes in my wardrobe that don’t suit me, so if I don’t wear it regularly, I’m not 100% comfortable in it or it doesn’t suit my shape then I get rid of it! That way getting ready each day is simple! I know when I open my wardrobe, I’ll have something to wear, I’ll feel good in it whether it’s dressy, casual or smart casual. Also With my hair I’ll keep it to a simple style that only takes me a few minutes to dry and style. Once it’s too much effort I know I won’t sustain it long term. It’s what’s right under your nose that makes life easy!!
Exercise with children: I always like to stay physically active in some shape or form. Whether it’s walking, doing resistant bands at home, going to the gym, yoga or pilates! I do whatever I can based on the ages my kids are at and the support I have at the time. Most of the time it’s something to do with the kids like walking or something I can bring the kids too like a mum & bub class - again whatever works at the time! Hair, Make up & Clothes: I keep my clothes, hair and make up super simple! JUNE 2018 NEWSLETTER | 7

Tummy Wellness Summer Special!
Sinead Dundon, The Tummy Tamer! Eating ‘Superfoods’ For your Blood Type! According to the principals of Eating Right For your Blood Type certain foods are more compatible with a person’s particular blood type. There are 4 blood types: A, B, AB and O and Doctors James and Peter D’Adamo investigated different diets for each type. Some foods are more difficult to digest thus needing to be avoided and other foods are more beneficial. The 1st Century saying: “What is food for one man may be bitter poison to another” seems to have some truth in it. Certain foods will have more benefits than others and be more beneficial in particular conditions. A Superfood can be particularly high in specific nutrients needed for optimal health. Some beneficial Superfoods found in the everyday, in most Irish kitchens that are all beneficial for all blood types include: Broccoli, Olive Oil and Cod. Oats are beneficial for AB, A, B types and neutral for O’s. Pumpkin seeds are beneficial Superfoods for A and O types but interestingly should be avoided for B and AB’s. Hemp seeds are beneficial for O types and all non-secretor and neutral for other types. Chia seeds are neutral for all blood types and eating them does have the advantage of encouraging healthy gut microbiome diversity.
be avoided by O types. Aloe Vera as a drink is often used to support digestive difficulties and is a Superfood for A’s but is classed as an ‘avoidant’ for all other types. My favourite superfood is the walnut which I use with pecans, dried mulberries and ginger to make a grain free high protein breakfast cereal. Walnuts are on the beneficial list for all types. Ginger is beneficial for A, B, O types and neutral for AB. Superfoods don’t have to be expensive or difficult to source. Plums are very high in antioxidants are a beneficial food for all blood types. I’ve seen trees in autumn with fantastic crops for free. The other old adage “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” doesn’t seem to ring true as apples as a Superfood are neutral for all types. Sinéad Dundon, Nutritional Therapist, known as The Tummy Tamer can test your Blood Type and give tailored Nutritional Therapy advice in her clinics in both Ennis and in Adare Health Foods and Wellness Centre.
Turmeric is widely regarded as a Superfood as it has properties which help reduce inflammation. It is classed as a beneficial food for Type A and O and is listed as neutral for types AB and B’s. The popular Irish cold and flu remedy Echinacea is beneficial to A and AB but should
