The program is described as a city hotel for businessmen and tourists. The site has irregular shape and adjacent to a main road. The main idea is to design a compact yet suitable hostility space by considering leaving 2 in 3 of the total site to be used as green area and also for further extension.

DESIGN IDEA


Since the site has irregular shape and adjacent to the highrise in the northwest, setting the hotel facing to the road seems to create visual privacy and also the ventilation. The hotel can be splitted into 3 parts ;the parking, the lobby, and the tower. The tower in the middle of the podiums gets to have community space like terrace, pool, and firness on the roof of parking area, with the view of green park on the left of the hotel.


The lobby and sub lobby in the first floor used for welcoming the guests from the tour. On the mezzanine floor is the administration office. The restaurants and main kitchen are on the 3rd floor and there are banquet and meeting rooms on the 4th. The pool and sky terrace is on the rooftop. On the tower, there are special floors that divide the presidential suite and delux room that can be used as outdoor space with green area.

PINK PAK HOSPICE Designing space for the terminally ill in which required such healing environment as well as responding to the healthcare function. August 2016 - October 2016

The program is to design breast cancer center and hospice for the terminally-ill that couldn’t efford thier own residents. The idea is to creating a healthcare facilty concerning how to apply physical factors into the healing process so called ‘creating healing enviroments’ e.g. daylighting, nature, wayfinding.


From the research on site and setting analysis, the layout plan is designed to be prepared and prevent flooding by creating the marchland that can change into rainwater collecting area and also give aesthetics and respond to the principle of how to create healing environments such as creating the buffer zone between the breast cancer center and the hospice that located deep further into the site.

The program is to design an elementary school for the local hill-tribes. The challenge in this program is the setting. The site typography is basically a hill with contours and the river at the south. Also the condition is the building’s material has to be convinient for transportation which means they have to be local or light weight and be in modules.


Zoning of school is in the sequence of the public area to private area. By placing classrooms in the area that less steep than those up on the hill which will be the setting of teacherโ s dorm ,so teachers can have the view of the whole school and the river also. the playground and soccer field can be used as the assembly area surrounded by the corridor that connects all the buildings.

The project is to study how the transportation process work. Design buildings in different country required researchs and understanding of local people’s behavior. The key to design this building type is to learn the sequences and the heirachy of functions. Additionally, finding the unique characteristic of the nation is the way to create sense of place.

The planning is in symmetrical with the main entrance in the center and the other entrances on the side. At the end of the building are services core and vertical circulation. At the center are the ticket booking area.

The appearance of the building is inspired by the characteristics of the Vientain culture. The gable roof with double layer in the center indicate the space under the roof. Pattern of the skin represents the unique cultural art. Brick panel is used to bring the character out even more.

OLD TOWN HOSTEL Experimenting on how to redefine the old shop house and apply into the hostel by a random process of designing residential architecture October 2015

The program is to experiment on process of creating space in system. Considered the factors of space and elements of the shop-house in old town of Bangkok and interpret them in the contemporary meaning.


The program is linked with the research on the old shop house since the Rama V ages 100 years old. Our team did an experiment on deconstructing the architecture elements of the old house and then reconstructed them into new residential units with differrent types

The random process is run by calculating possibilities of access vertically. With modules that come together, we can create connecting space between them that can used as pocket garden, wooden terraces randomly created.

The process of the design starts with a 6x6 module with different type of unit put together into a set and run it up on the highrise structure.
