The GBC is Growing, Expanding, and Offering Many Opportunities for Realtors®

The trade mission to Colombia in August was a success and provided a unique opportunity to interact with our neighbors to the south. It was an international conference with other countries as well. The attendees could share business practices, gain important contacts and make longlasting friendships.

It was a good follow-up to the “Travel the World” series that focused on Colombia in June. The head of the Fedelonjas, as well as Colombians from different geographic areas, described their regions of the country as well as how business is conducted in Colombia. The Fedelonjas is somewhat similar to our National Association of REALTORS®. They are making great strides in enlarging their outreach to other areas of the country.

Panama will be the next country in the “Travel the World’ series on September 13. A local Panama business owner, the NAR Ambassador to Panama, and Panamanians from different parts of the country will share their input on investment opportunities there, referrals to agents from other countries, lending practices, and much more. It will be followed by a wine and cheese reception.

That will be followed by Ireland on October 18. Several speakers from around the country will be joining us. The NAR Ambassador to Ireland will be speaking along with a local businessman originally based there.

All our travel series are open to all members of RASM. There is so much information to learn about these countries, and how to interact and build your global business as well.

The Global Business Council will be participating in the RASM’s “SOAR” program on September 22. There will be several organizations represented with materials to distribute, providing an opportunity for outreach for several global organizations in the area, such as NAHREP, FIABCI, the Sarasota Latin Chamber, and others.

At 10:30, there will be a GBC break-out room of round tables available where six members will each speak about their organization. Members go from table to table to learn about those organizations.

The GBC is hosting a very important program for Ukraine. We will be reaching out to all members for donations to support the country. Donations can be dropped off at RASM South on September 13 between 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
