@ SardisYouth February 2014 Committed to glorifying God, the Youth Ministry of Sardis Presbyterian Church exists to accept, engage and nurture all youth and their families in order that they become disciples of Christ and serve the Lord.

Welcome Home College Students!

Our Sardis college students reconnected with their church community in a variety of functions over the holidays. The Sunday after Thanksgiving, the students met for breakfast at Bruegger’s Bagels. On December 20, the Sardis Youth Ministry hosted a dinner attended by 20 college students at the home of Kim and Mark Weber. On Christmas Eve, the students were a part of the 11 PM candle lighting service. And on January 5, the senior high Sunday School class hosted a pancake breakfast and a college panel discussion so the high school students could ask questions of the college students about life and keeping the faith while away from home. Also, on January 5, several college students joined high school fellowship for UNC junior Natalie Burke’s presentation on her time this summer spent in Tanzania. UNC sophomore, Meredith Hunter, also led an icebreaker for the youth that night.

Sardis Youth in the Christmas Dinner Pageant Ronald McDonald House Blanket Making

On January 12 our middle schoolers got out the scissors and cloth and made blankets for the Ronald McDonald House charity. The following weekend, they gathered their finished blankets and took a field trip to the Ronald McDonald house in Charlotte to deliver their blankets. It was an experience these Sardis youth will not forget.
