I am simply a learner enchanted by the every form of art that surrounds me .For me architecture holds never ending scopes in our life and thus I am curious to learn and experience every one of them.

I am eager to join a team where i can broaden my perspective in architecture and input my design values.I am more than thrilled to embark on an internship where I can grow personally and professionally and emerge in the vastness of this discipline.

The concept derives from the interpretation of the site in three layers: self, immediate, and urban. This involves connecting the processes of production (make), shared experiences (share), and urban living (live).

In the “make” aspect, the goal is to establish a wine hub where visitors can witness the entire winemaking process from production to bottling. Various activities such as wine tasting, wine shops, galleries, and museums are incorporated to provide an immersive experience before enjoying the wine itself.

For the “share” aspect, the focus is on creating spaces shared with the public. This includes galleries, exhibition halls, and fine dining restaurants with wine tasting options, catering to both the emerging art culture and the wine culture.

In the “urban” aspect, the project aims to rejuvenate the site and eliminate isolation by introducing programs that promote community interaction. By allocating these diverse programs, the intention is to revive the area and foster a sense of connection among people.

EXPLODED AXONONMETRIC VIEW OF THE SITE

The site’s topography has been carefully considered in the design, with various levels created to accommodate different needs. The production area has been strategically placed at the highest point, taking into account the road linkage for the efficient supply of raw materials. Similarly, levels and heights have been utilized within the production spaces to optimize functionality.

To maintain the quality of the wine produced, it’s essential to minimize disruptions caused by the use of machinery, especially during the wine’s journey through fermentation and storage tanks. Therefore, the flow of the wine has been engineered to rely on gravity as much as possible. By creating height differences between the various stages of production, the cycling and movement of the wine can be achieved naturally, without the need for excessive mechanical intervention. This gravity-driven approach helps preserve the integrity and quality of the wine, ensuring that it maintains its desired characteristics throughout the production process.

The home is designed for Mr. & Mrs. chitrakar ,a couple in their late 60s. The site is located in thechu, godawari . A place surrounded with nature and peace hence the design intent was to integrate the serene nature of the site as far as possible. Mr. chitrakar being a retired teacher and Mrs.chitrakar being an artist wanted their home to reflect who they were, their years of experience in their profession and a place with nature, calmness and comfort to live for the rest of their life together.

The justification to the existing historical building, sita bhawan is given by burying the museum structure underneath the ground. The consistency in this pattern is maintained throughout the spaces. The museum is invisible, hidden away beneath the ground and the geometry generates a series of 3 courtyards that acts as voids for the penetration of light and air in the spaces.

on the inside the differences in the levels of gallery and the exposure to wide open courtyards from the narrow passages creates a intriguing atmosphere for the visitors enhancing the museum experience and killing museum fatigue.

the pedestrian pulse marga design competition

The idea for the design intiated with a vision of a scene that would integrate resting spaces, interactive spaces and pathways. Three scenarios are created in the site; pause, play & continue.

1.resting space(pause)

inspired from the patis of patan and the existing chautaris opposite to the site, resting space has been created in the site.

2.interaction(play)

proximity to patan high school,a playing space has been created with sand dunes with periscopes and openings for the childern. The sight of childern having fun is surely a refreshing scene to observe.

3.pathways(continue)

the sight of interaction between different generations of people that one sees while passing through the pathways surely lightens the mood minimizing the rush and chaos in the site created by traffic movement.

The adaptive reuse of juddha barun yantra yathartha design competition

team members; reeya maharjan,yeshbina rahapal

As urban landscapes evolve and cities pulse with ceaseless activity, the adaptive reuse of historical structures becomes a canvas for innovation and cultural preservation. In the heart of kathmandu,Nepal the juddha Barun Yantra, known as the oldest fire bridage is poised for a transformative journey. It embodies the idea of a refuge,a place to observe, and a space to pause admist the hustle and bustle of urban life.Yet,intriguingly, the place itself does not claim significance rather,it allows the surrounding context to shine, gaining meaning only when placed in the broader urban tapestry

The iconic curved facade, reminiscent of architectural traditions from centuries past, becomes a bridgehead an entry point to a space that honors history while accomodating the needs of the present.

As pedestrians traverse this bridge, they become temporal voyagers, pausing at seating areas that offers moment of reflection. The design creates a bridge to linger and a space to observe the cityscape from a vintage point that transcends temporal boundaries.

The design intent adheres to the philosophy of allowing existing spaces to shine rather than contributing to the overcrowding that plagues many urban environments,it serves as a counterpoint a subtle intervention that complements the existing fabric. It invites the community to step
