CONVENTION CENTRE, VIEW FROM THE ENTRANCE The design elements used in the project are inspired from the calatravan style structures.

THE AUDITORIUM BUILDING
INSTITUTE FOR DESIGN AMRITSAR The site planning is done in such a way that the common public area like library area kept centrally for easy access to all the departments. The entrance porches of the different blocks are designed in contemporary style forming a grand entrance as well as the signage for each department.

The exposed brick work and the exposed concrete work are the traditional materials further to the context of the walled city Amritsar.
The traditional design elements are used in the project like chajjas and brick jallis but in the contemporary form.
The entrance porches of the different blocks are designed in contemporary style forming a grand entrance as well as the signage for each department.
BUILDING CONSTRUCTION
Staircase details: The task was to design the spiral, dog-leg, semi circular staircase for ceiling height of 3m.
The problem was to design a window using the steel sections. The sheet comprises of the elevation , sections and the details showing the use of various steel sections in a correct combination to obtain both fixed and openable shutters.

• The problem was to make the working plan of a residence of size 30 m by 60 m . • The drawing consists of ground floor , first floor and a schedule of openings .
