CATALOGUE #2
This quarter’s catalogue carries new work from some of the artists we are working with at present. Drawings in particular are making their mark on the local contemporary art scene; both established and emerging artists are choosing paper as a preferred medium. In 2012, SFG Colombo staged nine exhibitions both locally and overseas. This month SFG expands to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Galle Fort in the south of the island, with a satellite gallery displaying a rotating collection of represented artists throughout the year. Beyond this catalogue of works we have more available on our online catalogue so please feel free to continue browsing our collection of contemporary Sri Lankan art online.

Life of a Banana Leaf Gunatillake’s Banana Leaf series represent the life span of a banana leaf, from being tightly wound up to maturation and finally it’s drying up with the passing of time.
